GETTING tattoos is a big commitment and there is much debate about where, how, and when you get the inkings.

But sometimes, inhibitions are let loose, especially when you've had a drink or two.

This is what happened to Mack Mitchell, who shares videos on TikTok username @mac_mitchell.

While drunk, she got the name Andy tattooed on the bottom of her foot, with many noting it was a Tory Story reference.

"Would I have done it sober?" the US-based woman asked.

"No... probably not," she decided.

"Do I regret it?" she questioned.

After a short pause, she said: "No... probably not."

In the caption, she penned: "If you're looking at the heel of my foot, no you are not. Look away."

In the comments, people said how great they thought her inking was.

"This automatically makes you swag," one person commented.

Another said: "Never regret this tattoo."

"This is lowkey dope as hell," a third wrote.

"Why doIi want it??? I'm not even drunk," a fourth penned.

Though many got the Disney character reference, it seemed to go over some people's heads.

"Please tell me your husband's name is Andy," one person said.

Another commented: "Is your husband named Andy [shocked face emojis]."

"Giiirl...took me a min," said a third.

"The amount of people in the comments that don’t know this is from Toy Story 🤣 Epic tat BTW!" someone else wrote.

There have been many people who regret the tattoos they have gotten, including one Redditor who said they had "changed as a person" and so felt like they no longer resonated with the inkings they have.

They wrote: "I regret ever getting tattooed. I have so many tattoos that I've lost count.

Tattoo Do's and Don'ts

    1. Think, think and think some more

Tattoos done on a whim are far more likely to lead to regret than a tattoo you thought long and hard about. Think about why you want what you've chosen. And if you still want it after a few months, then get it.

    2. Age restrictions apply

You must be 18 years old to be tattooed in the UK.

    3. Don't haggle over the price

When you go to a tattoo shop the price is the price. You are paying for an artist’s time and skills, they charge what they believe those things are worth.

    4. Don't get tattooed while you're hungry

Eat before you go for your tattoo session and make sure you're hydrated. You’re about to be subjected to a period of sustained physical discomfort, if you’re feeling a little weak from hunger or you’re dehydrated things will not go as smoothly as they should.

    5. Don't drink alcohol before you get tattooed

If you are drunk or under the influence of drugs, don’t go for a tattoo. In fact, if your tattooist has anything at all about them they will turn you away if you are clearly under the influence of any intoxicating substances.  I’d also avoid drinking the night before, even a few drinks will thin your blood and make your bleed more.

"Most of them are really great work, too, all-American traditional," they said.

"I have never left a session unhappy with a tattoo. I really do like them all."

They continued: "Guess I’ve just changed as a person because every time I look in the mirror, I just miss my bare skin," they admitted.

"I wish I could go back in time and never get tattooed at all. I have so many, though, that I would probably spend the rest of my life getting them removed if I were to.

"Not to mention, I do not have that kind of money. So I just say, f**k it and keep on getting tattooed because I’m already covered, and there’s no going back now."

"It’s just depressing being [uncomfortable] in your own skin, not feeling like yourself at all, and there’s nothing you can do about it now.
