The mum-of-four said she was influenced by her Traveller heritage when selecting names.

Crystal explained that she gets trolled online for her children's names, which include a nod to a designer fashion brand and a double barrel moniker inspired by two US locations.

She revealed that her family consists of her nine-year-old son Stinger, and daughters Solitaire-Dior, seven, Shadoramay, six, and Malibu-Alaska, three.

The Scottish woman said strangers claim her children will be bullied and added that she has even received death threats over her unusual name choices.

But Crystal has no regrets, pointing out that, in modern times, people should be open to "different names."

"I have been upset and angry when I get trolled for their names," said Crystal, who works as an aesthetics assistant.

"You shouldn't make fun of peoples' names.

"There are some names that sound weird to others but it's up to you what names you like and choose."

She explained that her choices should be viewed as refreshing in comparison to names that have been around forever.

"There are lots of Marys and other old-fashioned names so why not have different ones?" she asked.

Crystal added that she refuses to let the haters get to her or her family.

"But I don't really care what people say," she said.

Crystal, who is separated from her children's father, named her son Stinger after his great-grandfather, Stinger Loveridge, which she said was "an easy choice."

For her first daughter, she got the suggestion for Solitaire from her grandmother, who had recently watched Live And Let Die from the James Bond series, which had a character of the same name.

Are Unique Baby Names Worth The Hassle?

Fabulous' Deputy Editor reveals the turmoil she faced with her own name while growing up.

When I was a child, all I wanted was one of those personalised keyrings with my name on it.

But no joy, the closest I could find was Rosie, Joseph (not great for a little girl) and Joanne.

Josie is short for Josephine, which is a French name, and I managed to reach my 20s without ever meeting anyone who shared it.

When I try to introduce myself to people, I get all sorts of random things - like Tracey and Stacey - which can be pretty annoying.

Although I have come into contact with a couple of Josies over the last year - there seems to be a few of us around my age - it’s still a much rarer name than most of my friends have.

On the whole I don’t mind it, at least it’s not rude or crazily spelt.

And it means I can get away with ‘doing a Cheryl’ and just referring to myself as Josie.

I’m getting married this year and some friends are shocked that I’m changing my surname, as it’s not seen as very cool or feminist to do so these days, but I explain to them that I’m not that attached to Griffiths as I’d always just say ‘hi it’s Josie’ when ringing a mate up.

I think it’s nice to be unique and I’ll definitely try and replicate this when naming my own kids.

It’s the rude names you’ve got to watch out for, so after nine years as a lifestyle journalist I’ll definitely be avoiding those.

"That name is also after the diamond - and I just added Dior because it sounded nice," Crystal explained.

She said in her "Gypsy culture", "Shadora" means "holy" and she added on May to make it more unique.

"I think she is the only Shadoramay in the world - I've seen Shadoras and I've seen Mays, but not both together," Crystal said.

She added that her youngest daughter's moniker was inspired by Malibu Beach, which was suggested by her cousin.

While people online trolled her for the unusual choices, Crystal defends her choices.

"In our Gypsy culture, people don't have problems with names like these," she pointed out.

"We don't really socialise out of our own culture, so when people say my children will be bullied, that's not true.

"Our community won't bully them, it's their own people."
