"Also have a chocolate and hazelnut one that just tastes like chocolate spread. Very yummy."

A mum said: "The chocolate one is excellent."

And another was determined to hunt it down. She said: "When I go to B&M on Monday I'll have a look."

Iceland also sells the dupe of the beloved biscuit spread - also for £1.

Other chains also sell their own versions of the Biscoff spread, for example, Aldi sells Belmont Biscuits Smooth Biscuit Spread (400g) for £1.99.

Top products to always buy at B&M

So B&M and Iceland's price is cheaper but for 400g less.

All three dupes are considerably cheaper than the original Lotus Biscuit Spread Smooth which is £3.20 for 400G at Tesco.

Meanwhile, the famous discounter has slashed the price of a "stunning" corner sofa set by a whopping £150.

A keen shopper spied on the item in their local store and was thrilled at the price.

Posting the find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK  Facebook group, they said: "Down to £150 in B&M."

They shared a photo of their newly purchased garden set in its box.

Fellow bargain hunters were quick to comment on the post and make plans to head to their nearest B&M to bag one.

It's always best to phone ahead to your local shop to check what they have available to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest B&M store using the locator tool on the website.

How to bag a bargain

SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…

Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.

Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.

Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.

Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.

Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.

Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.

HOW TO SAVE MONEY AT B&M

Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M's scanner app.

The scanner lets you see if an item's price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift, so prices and stock will vary from store to store.

It's always best to phone ahead to your local shop to check what they have available to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest B&M store using the locator tool on the website.

According to one ex-B&M manager, you'll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.

This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.
