My first swear word: Mother’s horror at toy that was supposed to teach her tot French but appears to say ‘f***’

Mother's warning over Little Tikes toy bought from Asda that SWEARS at children

A MUM was worried her baby girl's first word might be 'f**k' after she bought a toy that sounds like it is swearing.

Samantha Nash, 22, bought the Little Tikes 'My First Controller' from Asda for eight-month old baby Amelia-Rose to help her learn to count.

She was stunned when she heard the gadget say what sounded like the 'F word'.

Whilst playing with it, Amelia-Rose had accidentally set the toy in French mode and when she pressed the number five - cinq - it sounded like the F-bomb.

The horrified mum is warning other parents to bin the toy.

She said: "When I first saw it in the shop it sounded fine but it was the next day when she was playing with it when I realised it was swearing at her.

"My partner's six-year-old daughter was there too and she told us it was saying a naughty word.

"We bought her the remote because she's always drooling on our actual controls but when I heard the swear word I was horrified.

"I've taken it off her and bought her some toy car keys which she really likes and never puts down.

"I'll never be buying Little Tikes stuff again though, I'm absolutely disgusted and I've told my friends to do the same."

When she returned it to her Asda in Bracknell, Berkshire, she was told OTHER furious mums had also complained about the foul mouthed contraption.

Amelia-Rose's first word was 'mum', but Samantha thinks it could easily have been something else.

She added: "It's more disgusting that they are keeping it on sale even though people have complained.
"How many more people have to buy it for them to realise?

"So many people moan about kids that swear these days, but do you expect if you give them a toy which swears at them."

A Little Tikes spokesman said: "This product is compliant with all tests and standards and the number five button is in fact saying 'cinq' which is five in French."

However Samantha and James are not satisfied and want a full refund, an apology and the toy to be removed from shelves.
