The Ryanair flight from Malaga to Milan on July 19 ended up being 10 hours late, with ambulances called after people started fainting and suffering from panic attacks as the plane sat on the hot tarmac.

Footage shows people sweltering in the aircraft and desperately trying to fan themselves as the crew tries to keep everyone calm.

Other images show people being treated by ambulance medics after fainting and suffering panic attacks.

A third video shows sobbing passengers disembarking from the hot aircraft as others breathe sighs of relief.

Italian influencer Marco Ferrero, who has over a million TikTok followers, was on the flight and said that it was "the worst flight of my life".

He added: "At one point I seriously thought that I could no longer breathe and that something was happening to me."

Marco said that Ryanair was not at all helpful and "didn't give us any kind of assistance except for a EUR 4 bonus after four hours of waiting".

He said their attitude was "a joke" and that the "air conditioning didn't work because it was connected to a second motor which was discharged - it was like being inside a sauna but with the door locked.

"But in the sauna you can go out whenever you want - here you couldn't."

The influencer also added that even when the flight crew began handing out water after the first sweltering hour, there were not enough water bottles for everyone.

He said it was also impossible to go to the toilet because it was "clogged with people with panic attacks".

He said that after about three hours, the crew finally let them off the aircraft, with it then taking off at 10pm instead of its 10am original departure time.

He said: "They let us off the plane only after three hours with 42 degrees outside and no air conditioning. Someone passed out, others had panic attacks, an ambulance was needed."

Ryanair told The Sun: "This flight from Malaga to Milan (19 July) was delayed due to a minor technical issue with the aircraft.

"To avoid missing the flight’s take-off slot, passengers remained onboard while engineers serviced the aircraft.

"Unfortunately, the aircraft was not cleared for service in time and missed the slot and passengers were disembarked.

"As Malaga Airport’s air conditioning was not working at the allocated stand for this flight, the crew requested to reposition at another stand where air conditioning was working, and cooled the plane before re-boarding passengers.

"Once re-boarded, passengers were provided with water and departed safely for Milan 10 minutes later.”

Ivano Giacomelli of the Codici Consumers Association, who is in charge of setting the standards and guidelines for various industries, told Italian media: "The passenger's story is incredible, and the images are even more so."

He added: "We will ask Ryanair to account for what happened because what happened cannot be filed away as a simple unexpected event.

"We are referring not only to the delay, but also to the treatment of the passengers, locked up for hours in an aeroplane with scorching temperatures between fainting spells and panic attacks.

"We demand answers from Ryanair and also rapid and concrete interventions to compensate those who have experienced this mishap."
