Car crashes into walls of Windsor Castle in early hours of morning in three-vehicle smash

The incident took place just a stones-throw away from the Royal Family's residence

A CAR has smashed into the walls of Windsor Castle.

Police and ambulances closed off the road following the crash.

A fire engine and crew were also spotted at the scene.

Thames Valley Police are investigating the smash but confirmed it is not considered deliberate.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Thames Valley Police received a report of a road traffic collision at 7.50am this morning (12/3) on Thames Street, Windsor.

“The road is expected to be closed for some time.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact the force by calling 101 or making a report online quoting reference number 43240115038.”
