We’ve long been a fan of Simba mattresses here at The Sun, and have tested a fair few – so if you’re unsure about the different features or what to buy, let us share our experiences with you.

Take a look at our Simba Hybrid Mattress review, Simba Hybrid Pro review and Simba Kids Mattress review, where our testers tried each one out for size.

You can also read our Simba Hybrid Luxe review, which is one of the brand's most expensive mattresses. We found it to be ultra-comfortable and worth its premium price tag.

Elsewhere, in our Simba Earth APEX Mattress review, our tester tried out Simba's newest range for four months and deemed it 'an absolute dream to sleep on'.

Based on the quality of Simba mattresses, it's no surprise that we're also fans of its accessories. You can read our Simba pillow review and Simba duvet review here, which both utilise technology inspired by NASA to keep you warm when it's chilly and cool when it's balmy.

Our only complaint about both the duvet and pillow is that they're expensive, but there's often deals to be had or you could use your 15% newsletter sign-up discount.

Simba Performance Bed Linen, from £40 (priced to clear)

Simba performance bedding is currently on sale at a clearance price. The 100% cotton, 200 thread count double duvet cover and two pillowcases are now priced to clear at just £40.

It's made with Simba's Stratos finish on one side 'to help dissipate excess body heat' and is also available in king and super king sizes.

Simba is a sleep specialist with over one million clients who have trusted the brand to provide them with the finest night's sleep they've ever had — illustrated by over 250,000 five-star reviews.

After reviewing four of its most popular mattresses, we're inclined to agree: the Simba Hybrid Luxe helped ease long-term back pain; the Hybrid Pro all but solved insomnia for one of our writers; the Original Hybrid delivered the best sleep that another has had in years, and the Hybrid Kids Mattress helped settle another writer's six-year-old. Talk about results.

Simba has over 40 years of industry expertise, with all its mattresses developed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.

The company's sleep experts are said to have used data from 10 million sleepers to build a mattress that is tailored to every possible sleeping pattern and body type.

If that wasn't enough, Simba also provides a 200-night free trial and a 10-year guarantee, plus free shipping and returns for ultimate peace of mind.

You're also able to shop with 0% finance for up to 12 months.

Suppose you're looking to increase the quality of your kip without splashing out on a new mattress? In that case, Simba sells a lot of accessories that fit the bill, including a Hybrid Duvet that is inspired by technology used in space and a Hybrid Topper that can bring new life to your ageing mattress.

What is Simba’s newest mattress?

Simba Earth APEX Mattress

Simba Earth APEX MattressCredit: Simba

Simba Earth Apex Mattress, from £1,599 £1,199.25

Simba's newest mattress is the Earth Apex – part of its new Earth collection which uses a range of luxury natural materials.

The Earth Apex features eight layers, including up to 5,750 springs and a top layer made of silk, cashmere and mohair. It's designed to offer luxurious comfort with a focus on sustainability and is fully recyclable.

Our tester recently tried it out for four months, and using data from their Oura Ring, found that their average sleep score when sleeping on the Apex increased by 6%, while their average total sleep time increased by 14%.

Check out the full Simba Earth APEX Mattress review here for a more in-depth look.

Does Simba offer mattress protectors?

Simba offers the Performance Mattress Protector as part of its bedding collection. It’s available in a range of sizes to suit all Simba mattresses – so single, small double, double, king and super, as well as European sizes.

Plus Simba offers a free mattress protector with certain mattresses –notably the Simba Hybrid Pro and the Simba Hybrid Luxe.

A mattress protector is a good idea to keep your new mattress looking pristine. It’s easy to take off and wash, but it also adds an extra level of comfort, thanks to the cushioning it contains and the breathable cotton cover.

The protector is great for allergy sufferers, as it has been treated with an anti-dust mite preparation made from plant extracts, and importantly, it stays put and doesn’t ride up on your bed.

Where is Simba manufactured?

All Simba mattresses sold in the UK are constructed in the UK and all Simba Hybrid mattresses worldwide contain springs manufactured in Leeds.

Simba’s design team is based in London, but if you’re outside the UK then the company sources its components as locally as possible, for example, it manufactures mattresses in Toronto for the Canadian market.

Sourcing locally is part of Simba’s sustainability ethos and the company prides itself on being the UK’s first B Corp sleep brand. In the UK Simba uses only British wool and any waste foam from its mattresses is sold on for use in other items. Zero waste is sent to landfill, and all mattresses returned are recycled. You can even recycle your old mattress without having to buy a new one through Simba’s mattress recycling service.

What are Simba bedding options like?

Simba offers a host of bedding options, including duvets, pillows, mattress protectors and toppers, and even a weighted blanket.

While they can be expensive, you’ll often find discounts across the range. Currently, Simba’s Performance Bed Linen is priced to clear at £40 for a double-size duvet cover with two pillowcases in 100% cotton and 200-thread count – or you can get a double set in a luxurious 400-thread count for £80.

Also priced to clear is the Performance Fitted Sheet in 400-thread count percale which will set you back £40 for a single.

We’re big fans of Simba’s bedding at The Sun, so if you can’t make up your mind about what to buy, take a look at our Simba Hybrid Pillow reviews and our Simba Hybrid Duvet review to see how we rate them.

Where to buy Simba mattresses

The obvious place to buy a Simba mattress is from the Simba website, but you can also buy them from Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, Very and eBay.

What is the bestselling Simba Mattress?

Simba states the Hybrid Pro is its bestselling mattress, with double spring layers for more tailored support.

However, the Original Hybrid is also hugely popular, with half a million sold and 15 awards won.

Is Simba worth it?

Simba mattresses are expensive, but regular sales and special offers make them more affordable.

A mattress is an investment, so it’s worth it if your current mattress has seen better days and you’re in the market for a new one.

Simba mattresses come with a 10-year guarantee, and what’s more, you can try the mattress for up to 200 days and then return it if you decide it’s not right for you, so that’s value for money.

For more info, you can read our Simba Hybrid mattress review, Simba Hybrid Pro mattress review, Simba Hybrid Luxe review and Simba Kids mattress review (where the verdict is: yes, Simba is worth it).

Are Simba mattresses good?

5

Simba Hybrid Pro Mattress Bundle (double), £1,696 £1,272

The short answer is yes. The reviews speak for themselves.

But, if that isn't enough to convince you, we've also tested and reviewed several of the brand's mattresses, so make sure you read our Simba Apex Mattress review, Simba Original Hybrid Mattress review, Simba Hybrid Pro mattress review, Simba Hybrid Luxe review and Simba Kids mattress review to find out more.

Here's a quick summary of those reviews:

Pros

  • Excellent delivery service
  • Easy-to-follow instructions and setup
  • Supportive
  • Comfortable
  • 200-night trial
  • 0% finance option
  • 10-year guarantee

Cons

  • Very heavy, especially when in the box
  • May require deep-fitted sheets

How much is a Simba mattress?

With prices starting from £659 (at its usual retail price) for the The Simba Hybrid Mattress and going up to £3,459 for the The Simba Hybrid Ultra Mattress, Simba mattresses are not cheap – however, they compare to similar offerings from other bed-in-a-box companies.

However, the brand regularly runs sales which lower prices dramatically.

Simba also has an incredible reputation, with a whopping 250,000 five-star reviews.

Simba's Sleep Bundles are the perfect way to get your sleep setup organised in one fell swoop, as they include your mattress of choice, two Hybrid Pillows and a Hybrid Duvet. Plus, the Complete Bundle also includes a bed frame.

Is Simba refurbished any good?

Simba offers a range of refurbished mattresses and accessories that come with a reduced price tag – a great choice for anyone in need of a mattress on a smaller budget.

Don't let the refurbished title fool you into thinking they're of worse quality, as they'll still provide you with award-winning, restorative sleep just for a lower cost.

The refurbished items go through rigorous hand testing and inspection to ensure the product is still up to scratch and any part that fails the test is replaced completely. Lastly, everything is deep cleaned by Simba to hospital standards, so it's essentially as good as new.

Is a Simba mattress good for bad backs?

Simba states that you should always seek professional medical advice when it comes to what's best for your back, and we completely agree – especially if you're having trouble sleeping.

However, Simba has received a flood of positive comments from sleepers who say their Simba Mattress has helped them finally get a good night's sleep after years of suffering from aches and pains.

The extremely light comfort spring layer is one of the technologies Simba added to help make your sleep as soothing as it can be, and you shouldn't feel poked in the back as Simba claims that its springs are lighter and finer than standard hefty ones.

Do Simba mattresses last?

Simba mattresses are made to last, but for peace of mind, Simba offers a 10-year guarantee. If the mattress "fails during that time", Simba will swap it for a brand new one.

Each mattress also comes with a 200-night trial and free delivery, so you've got ample time to figure out if it's really helping to improve your sleep.

If you do decide to return your mattress then simply let Simba know and they will arrange to collect it on a day to suit you – and all for free.

How much is the Simba NHS discount?

Simba offers a 41% discount to all healthcare workers who have signed up for the Health Service Discounts scheme. The Simba website states Blue Light Card members also receive a discount.

The discount applies to Simba’s Hybrid mattresses, as well as bedding, pillows, duvets and sheets when you buy a mattress.

Is Simba the same as Emma mattress?

Simba is a different brand and company to Emma, but they both make great mattresses, including memory foam and hybrid mattresses in a variety of sizes and styles.

Is Simba or Emma Better?

Reviews suggest that the Simba Hybrid is firmer than the Emma mattress.

However, although Simba mattresses are medium-firm, the squishy top layer makes them feel soft and comfortable to lie on before you feel the firmness underneath.

Obviously, it’s down to personal preference to a certain degree. However, both Simba and Emma hybrid mattresses contain multiple layers, with foam and springs, and both are available in a range of sizes.

They both offer a 200-night trial and 10-year guarantee on their mattresses so it’s really a case of doing your research to see which is likely to suit you best: from how firm the mattress is to cooling layers, materials and price.

How often does Simba have sales in the UK?

Simba typically offers sales and discounts throughout the year, especially during major shopping events.

These sales are often aligned with common retail periods like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Boxing Day, as well as seasonal promotions in summer and winter.

Additionally, you can find occasional discounts and special offers on platforms like Amazon and John Lewis, which sometimes feature exclusive deals on Simba mattresses.

Signing up for Simba's newsletter or following the social media pages can also help you stay updated on upcoming sales and exclusive discount codes.
