Christina Bechtel, a content creator on TikTok and Instagram, was shocked to find out that she had an entire row to herself just a few hours before departure.

The 31-year-old posted a video of her lucky flight experience on her TikTok account.

The clip shows Christina sitting in her empty row with a big smile.

The caption read: "God truly does have favourites because I paid $266 for this flight from JFK to London DAY OF [the departure] & got an entire row to myself."

The content creator had booked the one-way ticket just five hours before departure.

She told Newsweek that getting an empty row was like "winning the lottery", as she didn't pay to reserve her seat.

"I didn't pay for a seat and I booked it just for myself," Christina added.

"So, being a solo passenger, it just felt like I was winning the lottery."

Despite passengers rarely finding an empty seat next to them, let alone an entire row, the 31-year-old shared that "it has happened on other flights" for her.

Christina's 50,000 followers on TikTok were impressed by her luck and left hundreds of comments on the viral clip.

One user jokingly commented: "Cattle class jackpot. God is real."

"Love it when it happens," said another.

"If you're travelling alone, always book seat B or E. If you're travelling with someone seats A and C or H and J."

A third wrote "Slayyy," while a fourth added: "Must be nice."

It comes after a survey of 3,100 US travellers revealed which aeroplane rows and seats are most sought after by passengers.

And an airline has confirmed they are introducing new seating rules that allow passengers to choose which gender they sit next to.
