PADDY McGuinness has been announced as the host of a huge BBC programme, a move which will see him take over from Rylan Clark.

Presenter Paddy, 50, has vowed to bring “an endless supply of dad jokes” when he covers Rylan's Radio 2 show for a month.

The comedian will make his debut on Saturday 10 February when he takes over the 3pm to 6pm slot for the first time.

He will continue to broadcast for the next three weeks while the X Factor alum films “something very special”.

Paddy gushed: “I’m really excited to be taking over the reins of Rylan’s show and keeping his seat warm for four weeks.

“I can’t wait to bring the fun, and an endless supply of dad jokes, to Radio 2 every Saturday.”

Rylan added: “I’m going to be off for a few weeks filming something very special – so the wonderful Paddy McGuinness is going to be keeping my lovely Radio 2 listeners entertained while I’m away. Over to you Paddy.”

Head of BBC Radio 2, Helen Thomas said: “Paddy did a great job presenting Ten To The Top for Vernon Kay whilst he took on his Ultra Ultramarathon Challenge for BBC Children In Need last year.

“He was warmly welcomed by the listeners so it’s wonderful to welcome him back to Radio 2 to sit in for Rylan on Saturday afternoons for four weeks.”

We recently revealed Paddy's estranged wife Christine is lining up a “Pitbull” celebrity divorce lawyer in her fight for a multimillion-pound settlement.

Christine is determined to remain in the £4million mansion she shared with former Question of Sport host Paddy.

Catherine Bedford, 52 — who helped land a reported £31million pay-out for Ant McPartlin’s ex-wife, Lisa Armstrong — is due to represent her in London on Tuesday.

But Paddy doesn't seem to be concerned about the latest development.

The former Take Me Out star is currently filming a new show for the BBC.

Paddy also shared snaps from a recent break to Dubai, posting photos of the city's skyline which looked incredible against the night sky.

"Apologies for radio silence but I’m just back from enjoying 5 days of winter Sun in Dubai!!! Full report coming soon but it was gorgeous!" he wrote in the caption.
