THE Traitors presenter Claudia Winkleman bans her children from marking Mother’s Day.

She would rather her three kids, aged 12, 17 and 21, empty the dishwasher more often than lavish her with flowers and cards this Sunday.

Claudia, 52, said: “I have quite a strong view on Mother’s Day.

"I can’t stand it.

“If the children come even near me with anything that resembles a card, a flower, a breakfast in bed, a speech, I’m gonna stop you there.

“Now let me just say if they want to unload the dishwasher . . . they can do that on the other days.

She added on the Dish from Waitrose podcast, out today: "They have opinions about this, which I’m finding quite difficult.

"My eldest is twenty-one, I’m like, just lie there and let me do it.

“Let’s just say out loud that mums are utterly brilliant.

"So they should be celebrated.”

Claudia Winkleman to join ITV

Claudia joined Nick Grimshaw and celebrity chef Angela Hartnett for the first episode of the Dish podcast's fifth series.

Coming up are guests including British actress Kaya Scodelario, host of The Repair Shop, Jay Blades, Irish writer and broadcaster Marian Keyes and star of Derry Girls, Siobhan McSweeney.

Nick said: “So excited to dive into the fifth series of Dish from Waitrose! Collaborating with the iconic and endlessly entertaining Angela Hartnett has been just the best and I can’t wait to kick off another series.”

Angela added: "Teaming up with Nick for another round of Dish from Waitrose has been an absolute riot; laughter fills the air throughout our recordings. Indulging in cooking, dining, sipping and conversing with our dream dinner-party guests is an absolute joy. Here's to hoping our listeners relish every moment as much as we relish bringing it to life!"
