Hollyoaks fans horrified as Joel does HEROIN next to his dead nan’s corpse in ‘bleakest soap scenes in history’
It came as the soap made a huge reveal last week about mysterious Blue's real identity
HORRIFIED Hollyoaks fans have claimed a recent episode featured 'the bleakest soap scenes in history'.
Viewers were unimpressed by a plot twist that aired on Monday night (August 12) which saw Joel Dexter shoot up with heroin, just yards away from his nan's dead corpse.

The drug addict recently relapsed, and in disturbing scenes for the Cheshire-set soap, let himself into his gran Norma's flat where he proceeded to take him latest hit.
He was shown sitting on the floor and putting drug paraphernalia on the table, before going on to inject the illegal substance.
Joel (Rory Douglas-Speed) was unaware, meanwhile, that Norma was lying dead in the kitchen, just yards from where he was getting high.
It comes as mysterious gangster Blue killed Norma in her own home to get at her son, Warren Fox.

Delivery man Dave Williams was revealed to be Blue in a shocking unmasking last week, leaving fans reeling.
The identity of the murderer has been teased for weeks.
And in heartbreaking scenes at the end of Monday night, Warren made the grim discovery that his mum was dead - just minutes after finding his son passed out in the living room.
But fans still can't get over how Joel could take heroin and not realise his gran was lying dead just a few feet away.

A third agreed, fuming: "Behave,you're telling me Joel couldn't smell a rotting corpse."
A fourth vented: "How the f*** did joel not smell the days old corpse of his gran."
And a fifth concluded: That must have been some top notch [drugs] for Joel to be completely unfazed by the smell of his grandmother's rotting corpse."
