She wrote: "My heart breaks again. Dad you were the best. And the wittiest ever.

"I get the mad side from you that’s for sure. Love you."

The tragedy comes just months after husband Jonnie passed away aged 50 in February.

The Place In The Sun presenter had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2020 which spread to his brain.

Probate documents today revealed the star left his entire £953,000 estate to his wife.

Jess and Jonnie, who wed in 2016, shared three children - Rex, three, and twins Rafa and Cormac, two.

In June, the heartbroken widow revealed how she held Jonnie in his final moments as he listened to their kids playing.

She said: “'You hear people say 'he passed away peacefully. It was lovely,' but it wasn't for Jonnie.

"It was a f****** awful process. I wish I hadn't seen it but I had to be with him.

"I still struggle with what he went through.

“I can't imagine what it is to know your time is up and you're hearing the noise of your three sons kicking a football in the drive; you can smell food cooking downstairs."

She also told how her husband was "surrounded by love" at home rather than going to a hospice.

Jonnie was selected among thousands of applicants to present A Place in the Sun on Channel 4 in 2004.

He filmed over 200 episodes as he helped British house hunters achieve their dream of buying a place abroad.

The gig helped put Jonnie on the presenting map and he went on to front BBC property shows Escape to the Country and To Buy or Not to Buy.

He also hosted Escape to the Perfect Town and Sky1 show Dream Lives for Sale in 2011, which saw him help people leave their lives in the UK behind to set up a business.
