The One Show in hosting shake-up as fan-favourite is replaced
Two familiar faces instead presented the beloved show
THE One Show has been caught up in a hosting shake-up as a fan-favourite disappeared.
The flagship BBC One programme aired its latest episode on Wednesday night.

Viewers tuned in expecting to see fan-favourite Alex Jones at the helm with either Jermaine Jenas or Roman Kemp by her side.
However, they were all replaced with Alex Scott and Clara Amfo who presented from the iconic green sofa.
During the show fans watched as Sir Brian May, appeared on air to speak about his BBC documentary, 'Brian May: The Badgers, the Farmers and Me’.
Also in the studio was comedian Mo Gilligan talking about his latest podcast.

Meanwhile, Matt Allwright had a weekly Watchdog update.
The shake-up comes just weeks after The One Show returned to screens after being pulled off air.
Beeb bosses pulled the show as they cleared the schedules for coverage of the Olympics.
Alex Jones, 47, has been a host on The One Show for 14 years, but recently took a break.

Speaking to Fearne Cotton for her Happy Place podcast, she revealed her strategy for lasting so long on-screen.
"I can't even believe I'm still there, I think I just keep quiet," Alex shared.
"I just actually go in, do the job, and hope nobody notices that I'm still there."

- Alex Jones - Alex is the longest-severing current host of The One Show as she's been a regular fixture on the green sofa since 2011.
- Jermaine Jenas - Former professional footballer-turned-pundit and presenter Jemaine joined the cast of the BBC chat show in 2021.
- Ronan Keating - After stints of X-Factor and The Voice: Australia, Boyzone star Ronan swapped singing for chatting, also joining The One Show in 2021.
- Roman Kemp - Roman initially singed on to be a guest presenter on The One Show in 2022 but made the move permanent the following year. This brought his time on Capital Breakfast to an end.
- Lauren Laverne - DJ, singer and Desert Island Discs host Lauren became a regular host on the BBC chat show at the same time as Roman.
