TOWIE star Bobby Norris might not seem like a natural choice to sign up for SAS Who Dares Wins – but that’s exactly why he’s doing it.

The Essex hair stylist – and longtime frenemy of Gemma Collins – insists he wanted something that would challenge him to his core.

Speaking about the new show, which was filmed in the wilds of New Zealand and airs on Channel 4 on September 22, he said: “I’ve got so many fears and phobias, and I’ve let them control my life for so long.

“So I decided that if I could try and even tackle one of them, I’d be happy.

“This was a once in a lifetime experience.”

INBETWEENERS star James Buckley is toasting plans for a movie spin-off of the TV hit by shooting another Brit comedy flick – about beer.

The actor – who played potty-mouthed Jay Cartwright in the Channel 4 series alongside Simon Bird as Will – is teaming up with Martin Clunes in a drama called Mother’s Pride.

Although it sounds like it’s inspired by loaves of bread, it’s been described as a “love letter to the British pub” and comes from the makers of 2019 movie Fisherman’s Friends.

Teaming up with Martin means that James has now completed the Men Behaving Badly set as he recently starred alongside Neil Morrissey In Channel 5 drama, Finders Keepers.

I revealed how former Inbetweeners stars had been in discussions with the show’s creators to revive the comedy, this time with a third movie.

Monty's rain on world

GARDENERS’ World host Monty Don has spoken of the nightmare of filming, because of our changeable weather.

Producers have on occasion drenched him with a hose pipe off camera so it looks like it’s raining.

Speaking on the show’s podcast, Monty said: “A few months ago the rain was coming down and I got wet and the camera got wet so we had to stop, have a coffee, and try to fix it.

“Luckily the electronics hadn’t gone and we got a hairdryer to dry it all out.

“In that time the sun came out, blue sky, and the director said, ‘We’ve got to finish the shot’, so we set the camera back up, got a hose out and someone stood off camera and hosed me down while I had to try and present!”

FANS of For The Love Of Dogs are getting the perfect Christmas present in the form of a one-off special.

Due to film this autumn, it will see host Alison Hammond return to Battersea Cats & Dogs Home in London.

Guaranteed to tug extra hard at the heartstrings over the festive period, it means devotees don’t need to wait until the New year for more.

Alison took over the helm of the animal rescue show after Paul O'Grady passed away in March last year. Her second series is due out in 2025.

TV legend Paul had fronted the show for 11 series and left £500,000 to Battersea Cats & Dogs Home in his will.

As part of a new campaign on her ITV show, Lorraine Kelly is celebrating the shape of the nation by encouraging women to embrace their bodies.

Starting at 9am today she will shine a spotlight on the ‘WOW Project’ along with broadcaster Adele Roberts, author and columnist Bryony Gordon and former Paralympian Ellie Simmonds.
