Foreigners have talent

Ex BGT judge Piers Morgan slams the show’s foreign acts…while fans complain of singer overkill

The former panellist warned he might be forced to return if the acts didn't improve

BOTH former judges and viewers alike were left unimpressed by Monday night's Britain's Got Talent semi-final.

Ex-panellist Piers Morgan took to Twitter to vent his frustration at the number of foreign acts on this year's show, whilst fans of the show took issue with how many singers were featured on the same evening.

Journalist Piers hasn't been a judge on Britain's Got Talent since 2007 but still watches the show, as he proved when he Tweeted along with Monday night's semi-final.

He began by asking: "What the **** am I watching? #BGT."

The 51-year-old then got personal by blaming his former colleagues for the lack of impressive talent on programme.

He wrote: "Come on judges, grow some talent talons please or I'll be forced to return. #bgt"

The controversial broadcaster revealed that his real issue was with the fact that some of the acts chosen to perform were foreign.

He Tweeted: "Bloke who can't speak English playing accordion atrociously in ludicrous outfit. How does this qualify for "BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT"? #bgt"

However, he was happy to support one foreign act, winner of Russia's Got Talent and finalist in both America and Italy's Got Talent, Alex Magala
Of the sword-swallower he said: "BRILLIANT #magala #bgt."

Whilst Piers was unimpressed by the lack of British acts, other people watching the talent contest used Twitter to rage about the huge number of singers being pitted against each other on the show.

One simply wrote: "Too many singers this year. #bgt #BGT2016"

"#BGT shouldn't be for singers. If you want to sing go on #XFactor," suggested a Twitter user.

Another agreed, writing: "Great another singer who should be on Xfactor #bgt"

Another agreed as they wrote: "#BGT is f***ing brutal tonight!!! I've resorted to playing solitaire on the laptop!"
