SYLVESTER Stallone has proved he is not dead by posting a fun photo online after he was targeted by sick death hoax.

Fans feared the Hollywood hard man had passed away after vile pranksters spread a rumour across social media this weekend.

However, Sly bounced back back by going online to share a picture of himself looking alive and well.

The rumours began yesterday when a fake news report, purporting to be by CNN, began circulating online.

It suggested Stallone had been found dead, and many fans were fooled into sharing it as a post on Facebook.

Many took to Twitter to share their condolences, with one de =vastated fan writing: "Is Sylvester Stallone dead or it was just a hoax? #StalloneDead?"

However, Stallone later dismissed the story by sharing a fun picture on his Instagram page to prove he is still alive and kicking.

The Rocky star uploaded a picture of himself pulling a punch-up pose with Russian boxer Sergey Kovalev.

He captioned the image: "With the incredibly powerful unified light heavyweight champion, Sergey "Krusher"Kovzalev "… Whatever he hits, he destroys"@sergeykovalev..."

The Instagram post was good news for fans, who were relived to find out Sly was fit and well.

The actor returned to the social networking website last night to post an update from his outing to a Train gig.

Sly shared a video of the rockers, and added in a caption: "Train was great tonight… That Man can sing!"
