Little Mix show off their language skills as they read the news in Italian, Spanish and Norwegian for Alan Carr Show

The group have been very busy learning some new skills this year

JESY Nelson famously became an internet sensation when she attempted to do a Jamaican accent.

But that hasn’t put off her off trying again – this time on Alan Carr’s 12 Stars of Christmas.

And she even takes it a step further by reading the news in Dutch, much to the amusement of the audience.

The show features three stars competing to win hundreds of presents for the studio audience.

To get their hands on these last-minute goodies, the audience need the celebrity panellists to answer questions about the year posted by the stars hidden behind Alan’s giant advent calendar.

One (or four…) of the stars behind the advent calendar Little Mix who have decided to take on an almighty language learning feat – to read the news in a variety of languages.

Appearing behind the calendar, Leigh-Anne tells the audience: “We have had a great year performing and travelling the world.”

Jade continues: “So this year we set each other a challenge…”

“To learn some new languages,” says Jesy.

While Perrie added with a cheeky wink: “All the languages!”

They then proceeded to show off their skills by saying a variety of pretty meaningless words in different languages - including ‘Blow torch’, ‘Kitten heels’ and ‘My lunch is on fire’.

The band then revealed that there were going to use one of the languages each to describe a major news event of 2016 and the celebrity compete for the audience prize then has to guess what it is.

Jade then told the story of Brad Pitt and Angelina’s divorce in rather convincing Italian.

Next up was Perrie, who was delivering the news in Spanish – congratulating Claudio Ranieri on Leicester winning the league.

Jesy put her past accent issues behind her as she took on the Swedish news.

She recounted the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio finally got an Oscar this year  - using pretty good sounding Swedish.

Last up Leigh Anne delivered the Dutch news –  that GB had come second in this year’s Olympics.

If the celebrities guess the answers correctly, an audience member from each team plunge into Alan’s giant gift box full of 30,000 balls, hoping to be the first to find one of the three wrapped presents hidden inside.

The lucky person to do so wins the present contained within for every member sat in their section of the audience.

At the end of the show, it’s the winning panellist’s turn to enter the balls, racing to find a an incredible holiday gift for just one person sat in their section of the audience.

The star Advent Calendar guests asking the questions and setting the challenges will be Miranda Hart (and her dog Peggy), Will.I.Am, Matt Lucas, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Roger Moore, Little Mix, Bear Grylls and William Shatner.

12 Stars of Christmas begins on Monday (19th Dec at 10pm) and airs for 5 nights
