Dr Ranj Singh, 44, fronted his first ever BBC Radio show, Motivation, to showcase an array of tunes as well as motivational tips, health hacks and life advice.

The star - an NHS doctor for more than 20 years - previously told how the high-energy series was all about "celebrating who you are."

Yet he has called time on his stint on the airwaves "for now" with the hosts, including Dr Ranj, on a three-month rotation - meaning he could soon be back.

Meanwhile, a fresh host will also serve the same tenure.

In an emotional message posted to Instagram, he confessed: "Well last night was my final @bbcasiannetwork Motivation show (for now)…

"It has been an absolute blast and wouldn’t be possible without this incredible lady, my producer @shreniyajnik!

"And thank YOU all for listening and getting in touch! Swipe to hear the cutest message from my nephews, and my parting advice to all our listeners."

He then added: "You can listen to all of the episodes anytime on @bbcsounds."

Dr Ranj uploaded his message alongside images of him with a radio pal, posing by his studio microphone and screen grabs of his show.

It remains to be seen if he will return to the radio station soon.

Last year, the telly doctor spoke about a toxic culture of "bullying" during his former role on ITV daytime series This Morning.

The regular show contributor quit in 2021.

The Sun later revealed he made known his concerns about staff behaviour behind-the-scenes.

Then, in a stark social media statement, he said his complaints led to him being fazed out at the show.

“I was on the show for ten years and I genuinely loved and valued working there,” Dr Ranj said.

“However, over time I grew increasingly worried about how things were behind-the-scenes and how people, including myself, were being treated.

“I didn’t know the truth about what was going on with Phillip, but I do know the issues with This Morning go far beyond him. It takes more than one person to create a culture.

"So I did what I thought was right ... I then found myself being used less and less.”

Dr Ranj continued: “I even took my concerns directly to the top of ITV.

“The culture at This Morning had become toxic, no longer aligned with ITV values, and I felt like because I whistle-blew I was managed out.”
