DIY enthusiast Chantelle Porter took to social media to show off a before and after look at her bathroom overhaul, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting on DIY On a Budget Official, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Chantelle explained that she nabbed ‘marble’ stick-on tiles from Temu, as well as paint from B&Q.

Alongside snaps of her bathroom, the mother, who is from Tamworth, explained: “Been a very long week but has definitely been worth it.”

Chantelle revealed that she hated her plain bathroom, but has now turned it from blue and dark, into a chic, green and marble space.

The savvy mum continued: “I hated my bathroom before - it was so dull and depressing.

“But now I love it. All the pain and stress has definitely paid off.

“All has been done on a budget and done by me and my husband.”

Chantelle then beamed: “We are very proud of it.”

What was once a bright blue wall, with black and white tiles, has now been transformed with marble effect tiles, as Chantelle explained: “They are stick-on bathroom ones [from] Temu.

“[We] just stripped the walls, sanded and [added] silicone all around the edges.”

I was quoted £2,500 just for fitted wardrobes - but I did up my whole dressing room for less than that with Ikea buys

Not only this, but Chantelle gave her once cream-coloured walls a trendy upgrade, as she confirmed that she used Dulux Emerald Glade paint from B&Q.

Chantelle’s post has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 128 likes and 34 comments.
