Sarah Louise Lewis explained that she used bargain buys from B&M, B&Q and Home Bargains to give her daughter an incredibly grown up bedroom.

Sarah took to social media to show off a before and after look at the bedroom, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting on DIY On A Budget Official, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Sarah Louise Lewis shared snaps of her little darling’s bedroom and penned: “Promised my daughter that I would redecorate her bedroom when she started comp last September.

“Seven months later I finally got around to it. At least she thinks it was worth the wait.”

Sarah then explained how she saved money on the carpet, as she added: “New carpet was an off cut from local shop, so had a bargain.”

Not only this, but she also got her wallpaper for half the price too, as she continued: “Wallpaper was being discontinued so was half price.”

As well as this, Sarah saved money on the stunning light fitting too, as she nabbed it from Debenhams when they had a “huge sale on lights”, as she confirmed: “The new light fitting was reduced from £300 to £68.

“Even my electrician brother was impressed.”

Sarah later explained that she bought the side drawers and her daughter’s handbag picture from a local furniture shop and had the paint colour matched in B&Q to save cash.

The savvy mum revealed that she got canvas pictures for the bedroom from B&M as well as Home Bargains.
