Hakim Miloudi hopes to give Huddersfield nightmares after playing without sleep for TWO DAYS

HAKIM Miloudi has his sights on giving Huddersfield a rude awakening in the Challenge Cup – after revealing he played without having slept for TWO DAYS.

Barrow’s French international produced the goods as the unbeaten Raiders drew with London Broncos last Sunday.

But he has revealed he did it without having had a wink for 48 hours as partner Lea gave birth to son Noe.

Miloudi said: “I didn’t want to let the team down, so I went and played without sleeping as Lea had been in hospital.

“I did OK, I made some errors but also an assist but I had been at hospital all day and night on Saturday after staying awake excited on Friday.

“Lea left everything in France to come and live with me, that was huge. Her family and her dog! I really appreciate that.

“I like life in Barrow – there’s not a lot to do but it’s all right. It just gives me more time to have with my baby.

“And he’ll always have on his passport ‘born in Cumbria.’ If I can get dual passports that would be good – he could play for England or France!”

Miloudi will be part of Barrow’s exciting right flank partnership with winger Tee Ritson, which has seen Paul Crarey’s men produce some stunning tries this season.

It will see the 28-year-old go up against former Toronto team-mate Ricky Leutele while Test colleague Theo Fages will be watching.

And belief is high the Cumbrians can pull off a shock – as it has to be as Miloudi, who already eyes a last eight tie at Catalans, added: “I can’t wait as I know I’ll be up against players I know.

“I miss that level and the challenge and we spoke about the game on Wednesday. I said, ‘Boys, you never know what’s going to happen. Look at Toulouse against St Helens last week and I believe we can do something.’

“And when I came over, I lived with Tee and he does everything for me. He really helped me feel at home and he’s exactly the same on the field.

“He’s also faster than me, so if I can do some skill against an opponent and give the ball to him. He will finish it.”
