Who won winter Love Island 2023?

The couple have shared several exciting updated with fans since the show ended

LOVE ISLAND launched its first winter series back in 2020 but the South Africa-based show then didn't return until the start of 2023.

Following its break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the winter edition of the dating show has been axed once again for 2024, and will be replaced by Love Island All Stars instead.

Who won winter Love Island 2023?

Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were crowned the winners of the second ever series of winter Love Island in March 2023.

After host Maya Jama revealed the result of the public vote, the emotional couple couldn't believe their luck as they shared a sweet embrace

Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins came behind the duo in second place.

Speaking about his first impressions of Sanam, Kai told Maya during the finale: "Literally she blew me away straight away.

While Sanam added: "For me, it was always Kai. I always said he was my number one."

As of January 2024, Sanam and Kai are still together and appear to be going from strength to strength.

Sanam and Kai live together and have even discussed future wedding plans.

They regularly share relationship updates on their social media and YouTube series The Kai and Sanam Show.

It was reported in late 2023 that the couple had signed on for upcoming Channel 4 series Bad Baby, hosted by their fellow former Islander Chloe Burrows.

The prank game series will see unsuspecting couples struggling to care for a misbehaving baby doll.

Who was in the winter Love Island final?

The winter 2023 Love Island series saw contestants go through plenty of ups and down, tears, and drama.

But after the 58 days in the famous villa, only one couple could be crowned winner.

The results went as follows:

When will Love Island be back on?

In July 2023 it was confirmed that Love Island would not be returning for a winter series in 2024.

Instead, the first ever All Stars version of the dating show will air.

A source told the MailOnline at the time: "The winter series of Love Island has been axed for a second time… viewers just aren't interested in watching the show twice a year."

ITV didn't officially confirm the news until September 2023 and later announced that the show would debut on Monday January 15, 2024.

Several big names have been rumoured for the cast, including Georgia Steel, Liberty Poole, and Paige Thorne.

Mitch Taylor, Ovie Soko and Michael Griffiths have also reportedly signed up for the new episodes.

At the end of 2023 it was reported that the stars ITV had hoped to sign up were refusing to commit to their contracts in a shock pay row.

The contestants were said to have been offered £2,000-a-week to take part, a huge 433 percent increase on the usual £375-a-week, but this was not enough some of the Islanders.

A source told The Sun at the time: "Love Island bosses are making a conscious effort to only cast stars who are actually looking for love.

"They want the celebs to be genuine about having a second chance at meeting their soul mate rather than using the chance of going into the villa again as an opportunity to make money.

"It's gearing up to be a very exciting series and producers are confident that they'll get a great cast for the new series."

Love Island All Stars, like winter Love Island, will take place in South Africa.
