MARRIED At First Sight star Georges Berthonneau has hit out at his ex-wife Peggy Lawrence as their split turns bitter.
Georges, 30, claims he was left completely blindsided when Peggy, 33, announced their break up on Valentine’s Day despite previously agreeing to release a joint statement.

Upset Georges, who married Peggy when he first laid eyes on her for the reality show, has made a series of claims against her, branding her a "calculated manipulator".
He also alleges she plans to join Towie, but can only do it if she’s single.
He told the MailOnline: “We said we were going to do it together. The next thing I know she's putting out a statement on Valentine's Day, on purpose. It's obvious she has done that on purpose. It is calculated.
“I sent her flowers, a card and balloons for Valentine's... I checked my letterbox yesterday and I got nothing.”
Georges claims Peggy made very little effort with him, says they only had sex six times – and that he ended up spending thousands on her.
“She has only been to my place three times since the end of the show in May. I have to go to hers or we have to get a hotel. She never, ever came to mine,” he said.
“I get it... she's probably used to men with apartments in Chelsea that earn six-figures, but I do have a nice place...
“I was in a relationship with somebody that didn't actually want to spend time with me. I always asked her ‘When do you want to see me?’ She never asked me when I was free or said at the last minute, ‘I'm free all evening, let's do something’.”

Peggy's split statement in full
"I'm so sorry I've been quiet on socials everybody but there's a reason for my silence.
"Me and Georges are no longer together and I'm absolutely heartbroken.
"It's affected my mental health and it's taken me weeks to come to terms with it but with it being Valentine's Day, I can't pretend to be OK."
Peggy’s rep hit back, telling the publication: “After Georges expressed his desire to end his relationship with Peggy, she made every effort to handle the situation amicably and comply with his wishes.
“She requested that they issue a joint statement, and she has been persistently asking him to do so for the past two weeks, despite his continuous disregard for her request.
“It should be noted that she had no intentions of selling her story, and instead opted to release her own statement.”
Viewers met the couple on the most recent series of MAFS and nine months on, it seemed things were going well with the couple even revealing plans to tie the knot for real.
But yesterday, Peggy shared a statement about their break-up and told how it had “affected her mental health’.
Georges also claims his mental health was affected by the situation and admits he has been struggling with financial issues.
