She has filed a suit for defamation and is reportedly seeking over $170million (£132million) in damages, as reported by the BBC.

In documents seen by the outlet, Harvey alleged that Netflix did not protect her identity.

The portrayal of Martha's character, played by Jessica Gunning, led viewers to locate her on social media, she claimed.

Harvey accused Netflix of using a lot of her own speech phrases - that were easy to find on her old social media posts.

She alleged the show took minimal efforts to conceal her identity from viewers - including the fact 'Martha' was a lawyer too.

Now Harvey is suing on numerous counts including defamation, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, violations of right of publicity.

Following the series, Harvey claimed she has been constantly harassed and her reputation destroyed.

The 'real life Martha' has always strongly denied all accusations made in the show.

She vehemently refuted allegations she ever stalked or sexually assaulted Richard Gadd.

Harvey also denied being a convicted stalker.

Richard Gadd, 35, of from Wormit, Fife, wrote the show about his ordeal at the hands of a stalker based on events the show states are “real”.

Fiona Harvey, 58, from Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, previously vowed to sue Netflix, saying the character Martha, the stalker, was based on her.

Last month, The Scottish Sun exclusively revealed Harvey had bombarded Sir Keir Starmer with hundreds of chilling messages.

She told the Labour leader he was in a "non-job", was a "stupid little boy" and a "useless barrister".

Harvey threatened to make Sir Keir's life "not worth living".

Meanwhile, an MP’s wife targeted by Harvey told on Tuesday night how she was terrified of falling victim to her again after the Netflix show dredged up her ordeal.

Barrister Laura Wray, 62 – widow of ex-Labour MP Jimmy Wray – said she was living in fear after hearing Harvey was house-hunting close to where she lives.

She recalled her alleged five-year ordeal at the hands of Harvey.

She claimed it started when she gave her a month’s work as a trainee at her Glasgow law firm in 1997, and continued until Harvey is said to have made false claims that she was abusing her disabled son, three.

Speaking to Piers Morgan on his Uncensored YouTube show, she said: "I am frightened. I have no doubt she’s a dangerous stalker. No doubt at all.”

She denied all the allegations made against her and accused Richard Gadd of having "extreme psychiatric problems", as well as trying to sleep with her.
