A PLACE in the Sun viewers have been left appalled after two hopeful property hunters refused to budge on a low offer, despite finding a 'dream' property.

The Channel 4 show set the scene with brothers Mark and Simon as they were looking for a home on the Spanish coast.

The pair were currently living in a caravan alongside their mother after selling up in the UK, and were keen to put down roots and use their fixed budget of £225,000.

Initially the search with A Place in the Sun property expert Craig Rowe seemed to be going well, with the brothers wowed by a six bedroom villa that they declared as "unreal".

The property also came in at under budget with a price of £219,000.

Whilst the second property didn't appeal to them, the third was declared to be "breathtaking" by the keen house hunters.

Yet it was the fourth property that stole their hearts, and at £218,000 it was well within budget.

The property boasted a stunning pool, courtyard guardian, solarium and was close to a local bar and amenities.

A clearly emotional Mark was left moved by the property as he said: "I’m lost for words. It makes me want to cry, the whole place. I’m speechless."

Yet when it came to putting their money where their mouth is, the brothers made an outrageous offer.

Instead of offering the £218,000 asking price or close to it, they opted to offer nearly £40,000 less and made an offer of £180,000.

The offer was rejected, but the brothers refused to budge and decided instead to walk away.

At the end of the show, it was revealed that the family still haven’t found the right home for them and are still house hunting, with viewers left fuming over their low ball offer.

Writing on Twitter/X, one stunned viewer wrote: "House up for 220k and they offer 180 and not a penny more. Cheeky c***s enjoy your caravan."

Another echoed their thoughts as they said: "Hope they end up staying in the caravan they’re so awkward!"

A third shared: "What a bunch of time wasters.. live in your caravan... suits you better."

"Hate to say it, but if I found myself in my 50s living in a caravan with my mum, then I'd be questioning my life choices," said a fourth.
