A ROCK star who rose to fame in the Noughties has unveiled his 'normal job'.

Music fans know Jason Stollsteimer as the vocalist and lead guitarist of indie rock band The Von Bondies.

Away from his musical endeavours, the 46-year-old has also embarked on a much different career.

For the past five years, Jason been working in real estate for Michigan-based Good Company Realty, as first reported by newsletter The New Cue.

Meanwhile, The Von Bondies' original run spanned from 1997 to 2011, when they first split.

Jason found himself in a feud with fellow musician Jack White in the early 2000s.

The now 49-year-old had previously produced the Von Bondies' debut album, Lack of Communication, in late 2001.

While both were attending a record release party at the Magic Stick nightclub in Detroit, things became heated leading to a physical altercation.

The pair went to court to settle the disagreement.

During their history, The Von Bondies have headlined tours in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.

Their supporting acts have included the likes of Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Panda and The Donnas have served as supporting acts.

In 2004, The Von Bondies released their breakthrough album Pawn Shoppe Heart.

This featured singles including "C'mon C'mon" and "Tell Me What You See".

Other than Jason, fellow long-standing members include Leann Banks (bass), Christy Hunt (rhythm guitar) and Don Blum (drums).

This line-up was featured in The Von Bondies' third album, titled Love, Hate and Then There's You.

The band originated in Detroit and was first known as Baby Killers.

1997: Alongside Marcie Bolen, Jason forms a band called "Baby Killers" which was later renamed to the Von Bondies.

2001: The Von Bondies release their debut album, titled Lack of Communication.

2003: Jason gets into an altercation with Jack White of the White Stripes, leading to the pair going to court.

2004: The band release their breakthrough album, titled Pawn Shoppe Heart. Hit single "Cmon, Cmon" is included as part of this album.

2009: The Von Bondies' third album, , Love, Hate and Then There's You, is released.

2011: The Von Bondies disband.

2019: Jason reportedly begins working in real estate.

2020: The Von Bondies reunite for a tour, which had to be abandoned due to Covid-19.

Jason was a founding member alongside Marcie Bolen, who left the band in 2006.
