RTE star Donal Skehan shows off gorgeous new kitchen set as he reveals he starts filming again next week
RTE star Donal Skehan has shown off his gorgeous brand new filming set for his cooking show as he revealed he is to start filming again next week.
Donal took to his Instagram today to reveal that he has set up a brand new kitchen set in Ireland after he moved home from LA.
On his social media, he gave his followers a detailed tour of the kitchen set as he explained that it was almost ready for filming his show.
He explained in the video that he will be returning to filming next week and that they just had a few more things to fix in the kitchen before they could fully get to work.
Speaking in the video, Donal started off by saying: "I don't know if you're ready for this but we are doing the final lighting on the set here which is going to be where we're shooting the series next week.
"Not finished completely yet but it's a little bit more homely than the last one and a little bit of a country vibe and we got the kitchen table that I bought from an auction years ago."
NEW SET
The kitchen is a mixture of light blue and dark blue tones with wooden features throughout.
His old wooden kitchen table features in the set and they have a number of different types of chairs around the table.
Donal also explained that an old press they had in their home had been painted yellow and put on set to complete the finished look.
The chef explained: "If anyone remembers in the old house we used to have this lovely little unit that was painted yellow to fit in with the set.
'IN THE LAST STAGES'
"There's a nice little bench area some kids toys the lads will be thrilled when they come over.
"I'll give you a proper tour once it's finished but we're in the last stages."
This comes after Donal shared a funny crab fishing technique with his 'mum's pop socks' as they enjoy a family day by the sea.
The celebrity chef made the most of the good weather today as himself, wife Sofie and their two young sons joined Donal's parents for a spot of crab fishing in Howth.

In a video with his dad preparing the bate, Donal captioned it: "Crab fishing Irish style: Pair of mammy's tights and a tin of tuna!"
In the video Danal said: "What you see here is the old Irish technique of catching crab with a tin of tuna and mother's pop socks."
Donal shared a snap of a crab attached to the tights and said "it works!".
