Scottish musicians behind the soundtrack of Kevin Costner’s new Wild West epic have been forced to sign non-disclosure agreements for their forthcoming Hollywood projects.
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) has enjoyed growing international demand for its performances of soundtracks on behalf of entertainment companies such as Warner Bros, Netflix, Disney and Sony. But the global stature of the orchestra’s recent collaborators has led to members of the ensemble being asked to sign contracts protecting the confidentiality of hotly anticipated releases.
The news comes as musicians revealed that Costner, the American filmmaker, enlisted the orchestra to record the soundtrack for his new film Horizon: An American Saga last year.
