1. Air vents

With air conditioning systems working overtime in the summer, dirty air vents can severely affect the air quality inside your car and reduce the efficiency of your cooling system.

Bialazewski says: 'Dust and grime buildup in the air vents can lead to unpleasant odors and decreased airflow.

'It is important to check them out thoroughly for a nice experience throughout this hot season.'

2. Seat tracks and rails

The tracks and rails that allow seats to move back and forth can collect soil and rubbish over time, leading to seat adjustment obstacles and discomfort during driving.

Regularly cleaning these areas ensures easy seat movement and a more comfortable car interior.

3. Steering wheel

Despite being one of the most frequently touched surfaces in the car, the steering wheel is often neglected during cleaning.

A dirty steering wheel accumulates germs, dirt, and oils from hands, posing hygiene risks.

Keeping the steering wheel clean is essential for maintaining good hygiene and a pleasant driving experience.

4. Under the floor mats

Floor mats catch a significant amount of filth, mud, and debris, but merely vacuuming their exterior surface is not enough.

Bialazewsk says: 'Make a point to lift the floor mats and clean beneath them. Doing this prevents the gathering of dirt and promotes a cleaner, healthier interior.'

5. Door jambs and seals

The sides of car doors and their seals often gather dust and filth, which are typically missed during regular cleaning.

The expert advises: 'By cleaning these sections, not only do you enhance how your vehicle appears but you also assist in the proper functioning of door jamb rubber seals by avoiding dust and other debris entering inside.'
