So American Sniper didn't win so much at the Oscars but it's already won the box office and director Clint Eastwood had a new beauty on his arm to compensate.

Eastwood, 84, and seemingly undimmed by time, arrived at the 87th Academy Awards Sunday night accompanied by Christina Sandera, tapped as his new girlfriend.

Although US Weekly reported the new woman in his life last summer, the Oscar ceremony was the first official event the two attended as a couple.

Eastwood just finalized his divorce from his second wife, ex-TV reporter Dina Marie Eastwood, in December.

Sandera, a restaurant hostess at Eastwood's Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel, Calif. (where Eastwood once served as mayor), was first photographed with Eastwood shopping at a Los Angeles Whole Foods store in June.

On the red carpet, dressed in a navy blue gown with a necklace of diamonds, arm in arm with Eastwood, she looked a little tense in some pictures, confident and at ease in others.

Her age was unspecified but she's definitely much younger than Eastwood. She resembles 30 Rock star Jane Krakowski, who's 46.

Sniper, which has so far pulled in more than $400 million at the worldwide box office, was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture, but came away with one technical award, for best sound editing.

Fans of the patriotic picture, especially on Fox News, took to the air and social media to express outrage that the movie was "snubbed" by Hollywood "liberals." So far, Eastwood himself has not commented.

But he certainly looked happy Sunday night about his new domestic status. Some of his fans were pleased for him.
