IndyCar will end the 2025 season in Nashville.

Nashville Superspeedway and the NTT IndyCar Series announced the 2025 schedule on Thursday. The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix is set for Aug. 31 and will serve as the championship race for the series. The start time for the race is yet to be determined.

The series announced its return to the 1.33-mile oval in 2024 to replace a previously scheduled race on the streets of Nashville. However, construction at Nissan Stadium moved the race off the streets and back to the speedway. This year's race will conclude the season on Sept. 15.

IndyCar’s 2025 season begins on March 2 in St. Petersburg, Florida, and ends in Nashville. The 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 is set for Sunday, May 24, 2025.

Thursday’s schedule release doubled as an announcement of a new media rights deal. Fox Sports will take over as the series’ exclusive broadcaster.

IndyCar made its first trip to Nashville Superspeedway in 2001 and moved away from the track in 2008. Big-name drivers such as Tony Kanaan and Dario Franchitti have won in Nashville, Scott Dixon is the last winner at the speedway as he capped off a three-peat from 2006-08.

The 2024 Big Machine Music City Grand Prix is slated for 2 p.m. (CT) on Sept. 15 at Nashville Superspeedway. It’s the first time the series’ season finale will be run on an oval since running at Auto Club Speedway in 2014.
