NaTIONAL TEAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Received her first call-up to the Senior National Team in late August of 2022, but is still awaiting her first cap.
  • She was named to the match day roster for both September games Nigeria and also joined the USWNT for its October European Tour and matches against England and Spain but did not see the field.
  • DeMelo has extensive experience with the U.S. Women’s Youth National Teams and is tied for fourth all-time in caps at the U-19/U-20 level with 38 games played.
  • She also has experience with the U.S. Women’s Youth National Teams at the U-14, U-15 and U-18 levels.

  • DeMelo was a member of U.S. teams at the 2016 and 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups.

  • As a rookie in 2022, she tallied four goals and two assists in 22 regular season appearances, all starts, and led all NWSL rookies with 1,957 total minutes played while also leading the league in fouls suffered and ranking second in crosses.
  • DeMelo was named the NWSL Player of the Month for May 2023, capping off an impressive month in which she was directly involved in six goals in five appearances for Racing Louisville across all competitions, scoring three goals, tallying two assists and drawing a penalty kick.

PERSONAL

  • Daughter of Robert and Kimberly DeMelo, she has two sisters, Makayla and Skylar.
  • Majored in health and human sciences at USC, where she was an All-Pac-12 and All-America selection for the Women of Troy.
  • Missed the entire 2019 collegiate season due to an Achilles injury but returned to the field in 2020 and closed out her collegiate career with 75 career appearances.
