Victoria Beckham On Why She'll Remain A Spice Girl For Life

Time and time again, Victoria Beckham says that she will not take on her former Posh persona and join Baby, Scary, Sporty and Ginger on tour with the Spice Girls. But, time and time again, the media can’t help but ask the popstar-turned-designer whether she has had a change of heart and might consider dusting off her little black dresses in the name of girl power.

One such occasion arose on January 24’s edition of Good Morning America. When co-host Michael Strahan asked Beckham, “You won't be tempted to get up there [on stage] and give a little something something?”, his guest replied, “Well, I mean, I don't know... Let's see. I'll always be a Spice Girl and I'm so proud of everything I achieved. I’m proud of them.”

She subsequently went on to slash hopes of a reunion, however, and once again deferred to her burgeoning fashion brand as the reason why she could not commit to touring. “With my business now, I just wouldn’t be able to do it. But I wish them so much luck and love and it’s gonna be great. In spirit, I will absolutely be there with them.”

As her former band mates reap the rewards of learning how to zigazig ah in buffalo boots again – the tour sold out in minutes with rumours circulating that each singer will make nearly £418,000 per show – you can’t blame Beckham for taking her slice of the publicity pie. Viva forever, right?
