The British royal family has long decamped to Balmoral for their summer holiday, with Queen Elizabeth II’s children revealing after her death that some of their “happiest times” as a family were spent on the Scottish estate.
Still, the royals have frequented some more exotic locations over the years, too. Princess Margaret often spent time on the Caribbean island of Mustique, where she built her own villa, Les Jolies Eaux. Princess Diana’s favourite holiday destinations included Saint Kitts and Nevis and Mallorca, an island that Princess Grace of Monaco also visited with her family.
