More subtle than the omnipresent pop of red, but with more character than your basic black or brown, this season’s best accessories are showing up in an unexpected shade: burgundy. The spring 2024 runways made a compelling case for the color (and the fall/winter 2024 collections are only amplifying the message). In Milan, Gucci, Ferragamo, and Bottega Veneta showed shoes and bags in rich, muddy reds, while in Paris, Loewe and Lemaire followed suit. We’ve been seeing burgundy on the streets, too, combined with neutrals or as a moody point of interest in an all black ensemble.

Vogue’s Must-Have Burgundy Accessories:

Burgundy accessories are an elegant way to elevate your everyday look. In penny loafers or slouchy tote bags, the shade is chic and easy to wear, nodding to the runways without feeling overly on-trend. For ideas on how to style it, look no further than our edit below.
