This weekend, Queen Elizabeth II partook in a Zoom call. Yes, Her Majesty herself logged onto the video conferencing app, to virtually meet with staff from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The Queen learned about the work they have been doing following the COVID-19 outbreak, and was also presented with a new portrait of herself, which will be on display at the new FCO office in London. “I hope I’ll see it in real life one say,” the Queen commented.

It’s not the first time the Queen has used Zoom; she’s dialed in before to speak with service members from the British Army. And it seems after a few tries, Her Majesty now knows the secret to a good Zoom look. (Hint: It’s all about the print.)

Sitting on her Zoom call, the Queen wore an elegant yellow dress printed with blue floral imagery. With only a waist-up opportunity to show off an outfit, prints are a surefire way to inject a Zoom look with maximum personality, something Her Majesty executed flawlessly. Now, wearing a dress during a video conference call may not be your typical go-to—most people who WFH prefer, say, sweatsuits—but the dressed-up choice was befitting of the world’s longest-serving monarch.

Her Majesty also accessorized with strands of pearls, another go-to piece of hers. The only question that remains: do she and Kate Middleton trade Zoom styling tips? Either way, they’re both bringing their royal style signatures to the app.
