TUSCALOOSA Ala. (WBRC) - Four people have been charged in connection to a shooting near Kaulton Park in Tuscaloosa Wednesday morning that left one man injured.

The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says around 9 a.m., they responded to the area of Kaulton Road on a report of a shooting.

Responding officers found one person with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers also located a vehicle with several suspects inside. VCU was called to the scene to conduct the investigation.

Authorities gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses and suspects. They determined two suspects approached a home and fired gunshots at a person who was standing outside. They say the person who was shot at then returned fire. During the gunfire exchange, police say several houses were shot into that were not related to the dispute.

The suspects were observed trying to flee the area in a vehicle. Police say they were stopped and held for investigators.

Tuscaloosa authorities say two adults and two juveniles were charged.

According to the TCSO, 19-year-old Johnny B. Hill Jr. is charged with attempted murder and several counts of discharging into occupied dwellings and vehicle.

Ja’Michael William Bradley, 20, is charged with bond revocation on a prior assault 1st charge.

Hill Jr. and Bradley are currently in custody at the Tuscaloosa County Jail.

One juvenile is being charged as an adult with attempted murder, and several counts of discharging into occupied dwellings and vehicle. He was taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail. A second juvenile is charged with certain persons prohibited to possess a pistol as a juvenile and was taken to the detention center. Because both suspects are juveniles, no identifying information will be released.

The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, but police say arguments on social media could be a factor.

Authorities say they are investigating possible federal gun charges in this case.

Mugshots for the two adult suspects will be added as soon as they become available.
