GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The senior class of the P.K. Yonge girls’ basketball team has seen remarkable success over their high school journey. From clinching a district championship to making it to the regional final during their junior year. That cohort was special.

On Friday a third member of that class got an opportunity to play at the next level. Friends and family gathered together to celebrate the accomplishments of Reniyah Clark. She officially put pen to paper signing with Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville.

Her resume is impressive, during her senior season, Clark averaged 8.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. She not only is she a star on the court, but she demonstrates academic achievements in the classroom. Clark has big plans for her future. She is majoring in sports management, wants to be a physical therapist and get her real estate license.

Here’s what Clark had to say about her signing day.

“I chose Trinity because I connected with the coach on a different level, and she reached out more and really wanted me on her team and was really eager with me playing with her. Alo,, because I knew some of the teams there and it looked like a great fit for me. I feel like it’s a huge milestone but I’m excited to play. I never really thought I would be playing college basketball, only because my recruiting process was very slow. But now that I’m getting the chance to play, I’m actually excited to move on, and chase some more dreams and make my parents proud.”
