OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - I-75 was backed up for miles while FHP troopers chased a man from Pinellas County across three counties.

Travis Craig, 28, was initially chased by troopers because they thought his car was stolen.

They say it wasn’t stolen, but Craig was wanted on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer.

The chase started at 3 p.m. in Hillsborough County, went through Sumter County, and into Marion County.

Craig pulled over and started running away on foot around 4 p.m.

He is being held at Sumter County Jail.
