GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Officials with the Hippodrome Theatre in Gainesville are airing their frustrations out online with their recent loss of state funding.

Earlier this month, leaders announced they would be wrapping up their summer musical early due to these losses, amounting to 250 thousand dollars.

‘Hipp’ leaders posted on social media today saying they’ve taken enough action to stay open, but aren’t in the clear.

They’re asking the community to support the arts by coming out to one of their shows or by making a donation.
