OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - A judge is considering a defense attorney’s pre-trial request in the manslaughter case against Susan Lorincz.

Judge Robert Hodges convened a mid-day hearing in Marion County Circuit court that had been scheduled for Monday.

Lorincz and her attorney requested that Hodges exclude some evidence from the trial that could be offered to the prosecution.

The nature of that evidence is not yet known.

Lorincz is accused of shooting to death her neighbor, Ajike Owens, in June 2023.
