STORRS, CT (WFSB) - Through the grind of pre-season training camp, UConn decided to bring the football team off campus and show them off to the fan base.

The aim was to give folks something to look forward to with the season less than a month away.

The scrimmage was mostly controlled by defense, as the UConn offense struggled at the start. However, both sides understood that there is plenty to work on for the remainder of training camp.

Before the scrimmage, Head Coach Jim Mora and some of his staff held a meet and greet with season ticket holders and supporters of the Huskies’ name, image and likeness groups.

It served to raise money as well as excitement for the upcoming season.

The Huskies open up their football season on August 31st at Maryland.
