24hr Drain Pro

I don't post many Yelp reviews but feel compelled to for 24hr Drain Pro.
Steve Kim was amazing. We had a significant backup late (of course) on a Saturday night, and he was able to come out right away and diagnose the issue. After I spent the rest of the night trying to figure out if it was on the county/city side or our side, by 9:30 in the morning he was back onsite, and working with me to get his snake to the highly-inaccessible cleanout. See some pictures of the hill-side clean-out & snaking on Sunday after discovering around 2am Sunday morning that the "city side had no problem".

As we improvised different way to get the heavy snake unit to the hillside clean-out, I never had any doubt that (a) he knew just what he was doing and (b) he would get the job done. Quite a bit different than other plumbers which have been very hit or miss, and lots of head-scratching. By 11am we were back online! Steve really did a top notch job. I couldn't ask for a better, more experienced, and clearly caring individual to work with.

Thanks Steve for taking such a terrible situation and making it better.

Called on Monday 8:30am. Showed up 3pm as scheduled and got the job done.

Steve has helped us out several times by identifying sources of leaks, cleaning out outdoor grates that were obstructed with twigs/leaves/etc, just to name a few issues.
It's been a successful outcome and excellent experience each time working with Steve. His responsiveness, thoroughness, and professionalism were terrific.

Had a clog in the mainline. Called me back in 5 min and gave me free advice over the phone with a quote if needed. Worked out and no charge.

People often don't spend time thinking about the pipes behind the walls - until something goes wrong.

When my kitchen drain pipe clogged and no amount of force could remove the P-trap (turns out mine is a weird design with one end glued on), I knew I was in over my head.

For the first plumbing company I called:
* The earliest they could arrive was the following morning
* Their quote was higher
* When the house lacks a sewer cleanout as mine does, they don't go on the roof to access the plumbing vents

I then called 24hr Drain Pro and found out:
* They could arrive in 45 minutes
* Their quote was lower
* They do go onto roofs when necessary

Friendly and easygoing Steve Kim (the owner of Drain Pro) arrived quickly as promised, face and shoes covered. He determined that the P-trap was indeed stuck and removed it with a hacksaw, finding a large clog in the pipe past the trap. Apparently, food waste and grease particles over the years can create a thick, sludgy clog. Say whaaat!? After some quick snaking, the pipe was unblocked once more, and Steve reinstalled the P-trap with a coupling to make it easier for me to remove in the future. He also gave me some tips on future maintenance.

Yelp claims that Drain Pro accepts credit cards, but when I asked if I could pay by card, Steve asked me to pay by Venmo or a check and I didn't feel like pressing the issue. It's possible that they don't take cards.

The price wasn't cheap but was reasonable given the fast response, especially in these quarantine times when demand for home services is higher. And it's awesome that the company will respond 24 hours a day - though it must suck for Steve being on-call all the time!

For me, I've learned to be better about preventative maintenance, so hopefully it will be a long while before I need to call a plumber again!

Today, Steve saved my day. Last night my two toilets and shower area were clogged so badly. We lucky got a plumbing company to come right the way. Unfortunately after two hours, they did not fixed the clog problem at all. Then they suggested me a huge plumbing work....so I decided to get a second opinion! That's how I found 24hr Drain pro on the yelp last night.

This morning Steve came in and asked me several questions and checked my whole house very very detail and he found the problem. He FIXED it without to break my concrete. I am so happy now all my toilets are working very well. Shower area has no more standing water. Highly recommend Steve!

Mr Kim was AWESOME! Highly recommend.
I called on a Sunday evening as our toilets backed up. After calling, saw that the business address was Millbrae and hung up. (Im in San Jose) Mr. Kim quickly called me back and was available to come over "within 1hr"... and guess what, he pulled up in 1hr exactly! OMG. Does anyone really show up when they say that they will? Yup, Mr. Kim does!

He quickly assessed the job, pulled out his 75' snake and went to work. Within a few minutes, the clog was gone, drains were working again, and toilets flushing!

Mr. Kim then stuck around for a while and told us to run the water to make sure that it was all good. What a professional.

Pricing was reasonable and a no charge guarantee if he can't fix it. (i'm sure it would also apply if he had to come back that night).

Steve and James are awesome. We have had them come out twice-once to fix an outdoor sewer line and another time to replace our hot water heater. Both times, the precarious event occurred on a weekend night, and they immediately were able to respond. In the case of the blocked sewer line, Steve was out to our house within an hour. Thank you 24 Hour Drain Pro!!

Our nail salon had a pipe angle shut off valve burst and water started spouting out. My mom had a client call him out of desperation and he came on very short notice. He fixed the problem very promptly and although there was some issue with price at first, the issue was suitably resolved. He is a pleasant man and we appreciate him coming out on short notice.
