Fifth wheel is our family favorite. My husband and I have been going here since we started dating. We are married now, with a new born baby :)

The one gentleman who is always there, I feel bad because we did ask him what his name was, but I forgot haha, he is always so friendly! We just call him, "our friend". haha. He and I'm sure the other cook, know our order by heart.

I always order the breaded chicken patty, rice with cheese on top the rice. I saw a person order grits with cheese on top so ever since then I have been getting cheese over my rice. I'm Filipino, so I eat rice with everything.

This is definitely a place we will be going to for a long time. We have even brought our daughter here a couple of times.

The April Special. :) Breaded chicken patty, eggs over medium, rice with cheese on top with English muffin.

One & DONE EXPERIENCE ‼‼‼ WAY overrated by loyal locals dedicated to nostalgia rather than service or value. Food tastes fine; basic diner stuff. OVER PRICED FOR WHAT IT IS‼‼‼ Servers/proprietors feel more interested in chit chatting with each other than customer service. GOOD C.S. recognizes when a customer is NOT at a table & either WAITS to prepare & serve the order until customers' return or AT LEAST keeps it warm‼‼ But they brought our food before hubby returned from restroom and IT WAS COLD AS ICE BY THE TIME HE CAME BACK TO THE TABLE. Place is a TINY, 4 TABLE spot so it's NOT like they couldn't/didn't SEE 1 OF THE 2 PEOPLE ABSENT FROM THE TABLE‼‼

And, as another reviewer mentioned, when I asked for the wifi password I was told "we don't share it". Ok... so WHY do they LITERALLY have a "guest" wifi account that they also LITERALLY REFUSE TO SHARE‍⁉‍⁉‍⁉ IF YOU DON'T WANT US TO USE IT, CHANGE THE NAME TO "STAFF"‼‼‼‼ At THESE PRICES - FOR BREAKFAST- YOUR CUSTOMERS *SHOULD* HAVE WIFI ACCESS ‼‼‼‼

Money is FAR too tight - & eating establishments FAR too expensive and plentiful- these for this kind of sloppy service. If a full meal here was UNDER $10 MAYBE the value would be worth a visit. But the meals here average $15+ tax/tip & up and so we say SAVE YOUR $$$ FOR A FAR BETTER EXPERIENCE ‼‼

For us, this is a "one & done"‼‍

The 5th Wheel in San Leandro is a true go-to diner! It's all about fast, fresh food that keeps the community coming back. Our order was quick, fresh, and you can tell they're popular by the bustling scene. Loads of to-go orders, too.

      Here's what I got:
      Two eggs scrambled with cheese
      Wheat toast
      Super delicious hash browns
      Country fried steak

All cooked to perfection. If you're after quality eats in a friendly atmosphere, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

BRO THIS PLACE WAS STRAIGHT UP FIRE!!!!!!!!! They love their butter but they love the craft for their food even more. The place is small so come early and expect a tiny wait but it's so homey and perfect. The staff was so kind and so welcoming. The food again is fire as heck. And this isn't a place to miss when you're visiting the Bay!

I'm honestly shocked everyone isn't always talking about this place!! A little hidden gem that my husband discovered. We haven't been able to stray away from one particular dish so I really can't say how everything is, but this one dish keeps bringing us back!

It's a no-fuss, little diner with just a few tables and some bar seating. It's got a fairly small kitchen. While we've had to wait before, we went this morning (a Saturday!) and there was no wait at all.

There's some street parking available, prices are affordable and the service is fairly quick.

We always order the Korean BBQ pork with white rice and toast, two over-medium eggs, a tall glass of orange juice and coffee.

The pork is flavorful, with jalapeños, on top of a pile of white rice with a bit of butter on top. It doesn't make sense how good it is!

      Go check this spot out!

I used to have breakfast here every once in a while. 1st time back in years!!! They still severed the same great tasting breakfast.

They have remodel the place since I was there the last time. Looks a lot modern.

I ordered a onion and mushroom omelette with cheese which came with hash-browns & sourdough toast and a side of bacon to go. They were pretty fast in making my ordered, was in and out in 15 minutes. I had them put brown gravy on the hash-browns because that's how I like it. The gravy was perfect. Bacon was nice and crispy.

The staff were so nice and accommodating.

Ambiance - the restaurant is very small. There are 4 tables and 9 stools if you want to sit at the breakfast bar. It's nothing fancy. It's been around for years. I used to come here decades ago.

You put your name on a list and sit outside until a table becomes available.

Service - we were seated promptly as a table was just opening up when our party of 3 arrived.

Food - we ordered pancakes, eggs, and chicken apple sausage. Another person ordered omlete with chicken apple sausage and hashbrowns. The 3rd person ordered a BLT with hashbrowns.

The pancakes were really good. I would have preferred my eggs to have been mixed better prior to scrambling as I didn't like seeing all the white of the eggs.

The omelets were undercooked, but the cook came put, took it back, and brought it back cooked better. My friend was happy with the meal, and her daughter enjoyed the BLT.

Like I mentioned earlier, I would come here in the early 90s and really enjoyed it. It was nice to stumble upon it once again while I was in the area.

Epitome of hole in the wall. I've been coming here for years, service is always fast and friendly. Be prepared to wait on the weekends to get a seat though.
