Q:
Hello, I'm going to a show at the Fillmore and I was wondering how the parking works? I am sure that the show will go until 11-11;30 the latest. Will the garage still be open that time if it usually closes at 10? Any special concert parking?

Came by the other day and it was a decent experience. The Fillmore Street Annex Garage is within Japantown and is next to the main SFMTA garage.
Upon entering, the cameras capture license plates and print them on the ticket. Weekday afternoon rates were $3/hr before 6 pm and $2/hr after 6 pm.
The drive lanes along with parking spaces are definitely compact. It definitely helps to drive a compact car.
There is a pay station that takes credit cards and cash before returning to your car.
The exit ramp is tricky as the ticket station is on an incline which is a test of one's stick driving skills ;)Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 1 - Oct 30, 2022
I attended a concert at The Filmore. It was easy to get in, adequate spacing for each spot, feels secure, reasonable rates for a popular location with The Filmore and Japantown. I encountered no problems and it was a short walk to The Filmore.

went to a concert at the Fillmore arrived an hour before doors opened parked my car there for a total of I want to say four to four and a half hours and only paid eight dollars at the end of the night. Pretty good price plenty of parking this was during the week though it was a Monday.

Solid garage with spots available on a Saturday night. Great location for Fillmore venue events or State bird provisions. There is a boba guys nearby to grab a drink for the road. Remember to take your ticket with you and pay before you leave.

Expensive (is that even a surprise though, SF?) but abundant parking available if you're trying to go to Japantown for a bit. If you want to save the time circling around neighborhoods and double-checking street parking limitation signs, I'd recommend parking here. There were plenty of spots and the lot was fairly clean and safe feeling.

Tough for me to stomach parking prices in any location in SF. But at least the Fillmore Street Annex Garage seem to be clean and well guarded. They are under Japan Town and the Sundance Kabuki Cinemas. so if you need a place to park without having to circle the block 20 times to find a spot then this garage is a decent choice.
If you are here to take in a movie don't forget to have your parking validated by the Kabuki theater. There is a self-service stamp in the Kabuki lobby near the ticketing desk easy for all to access. Even those who did not take in a show will want to stop by for validation before paying.
Easy access to the garage from from Fillmore. You'll want to be going north in order to take a right hand turn into the location as it is on east side of the street.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 30, 2009First to Review
Having seen enough shows at the Fillmore that run way late (past caltrain/bart hours), sometimes its easier to drive there. If you're not willing to risk your automotive darling on Geary or neighboring streets, this will set you back about $6 for 2-3 hours. The spaces are cramped and it's hard to navigate around sometimes but it's better than being broken into or wading through the rain to some random spot where you parked before your show. Obviously good for the plentiful food options around also.
