Meteor Lights specializes in custom fabrication and design of retro-modern ("mid-century") drum and tiered pendant light fixtures, lampshades, and acrylic base tube lamps. For many indoor residential and commercial applications. Almost any of our shade styles can be made as pendant lamps, either as a swag (plug-in) or as a light fixture (hard-wired to a junction box). Pendant light fixture sets are UL Listed (indoor, incandescent), and we can also supply CFL light fixture sets to meet California Title 24 requirements for indoor commercial uses. We have a long resume of commercial clients: restaurants, bars, hotels, architects, retail, etc. (see the website for more details). Consultation services available upon request.

Asa R.Folsom, United States143535Jun 29, 2016Spectacular craftsmanship and Rob nails the stylistic aspects of the shades as well. I love the lamp shade he did for me, it's a center piece in my home. He did a better job on my lamp shade than I even thought possible.
This is the place to go if you want a 20th century style lamp for your home or office. With Rob you get excellent customer service and superb work. There is no other like him around. Highly recommend Meteor Lights!

Rob is always wonderful to work with in terms of his knowledge of his craft and also advice regarding customizing colors and styles. Rob created this pair of shades for our mid-century Moss lamps, and the shades look spectacular on or off. I couldn't be more happy and satisfied with Rob and his wonderful company. 15/10 fully recommend.

It's exactly what I had in mind, and Rob is wonderful to work with in terms of his knowledge of his craft and advice regarding custom shades. This is the second Meteor Lights shade in our home (the first shade is the red one in the photos) and not only are they amazing works of art but they throw the most lovely light. When the lights are turned on the shades absolutely glow and really light up a space in a pleasant way. 14/10 fully recommend.
Apr 28, 2020Previous reviewI wanted a mid-century pendant lamp for our apartment and I'm so glad I found Meteor Lights - they crafted a gorgeous custom product that is also a work of art and exactly what I was looking for. My grandparents used to have lamp shades like this and I was excited about owning something similar. Rob is wonderful at answering questions and his guidance through the ordering process was helpful and appreciated.
The lamp shade is extremely high quality and the craftsmanship and attention to detail are extraordinary. Rob's customer service is also exceptional! I couldn't be more happy with this product and with my experience with Meteor Lights. 13/10 would highly recommend.

Rob is a professional and also a great guy. He emailed to confirm the colors and when I wasn't sure he assisted with samples. Additionally, the care taken when they packed and shipped the lampshades was also wonderful.

The old Target lampshades are now marked "free" on the curb were they belong.
The shades are very high quality and the attention to detail is very high. The customer service is also exceptional. If everything isn't perfect they will work with you to make sure you get the perfect shade(s). No hassles, no attitude... Meteor Lights always goes with "the customer is always right" way of doing business.
I will be back there next time I need lampshades for sure!

With my order, Meteor Lights at that time moved to a new location, and the owner / artist had some personal issues and my order was going to take longer than expected. He emailed me, and even included his personal cell-phone for me to call him and speak with him directly. It was something that went the extra mile. I was reassured and thankful that he did this.
