This is the best cleaners around. They have been doing our dry cleaning for many years. Not only do they do a great job, but they are like family.

They ruined a cushion, I asked them if they could do it, and the owner said she could, then when I go pick it up it was such a bad job that I made them take it back, the second time they had just straightened it , but they did such a bad job and she wouldn't take credit blamed it on the upholsterer and never gave me a refund $140.00 to damage a cushion for a sofa. The job was horrific, she told me it was an old cushion and had thrown away the original piece that I told her I wanted to save. It was from a brand new couch. So disappointed in so many ways, never again

They go above and beyond; they offer great cleaning and are very kind folks. They've tailored/sewn clothes for my family with a very short turnaround time and always do an excellent job.

My clothes come back clean and fresh, stains are removed without damaging the fabricHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maisita P.La Jolla, United States124533Feb 20, 2022
They ruined my $500 dress. It looks like they scratched the fabric on a dress that has only been worn a handful of times. I have attached a photo of my dress the night before I wore it, which shows a smooth fabric. I also attached some photos of the damage they did. The dress now looks like an old rag. This was a very expensive dress I bought in Saks Fifth Avenue a couple of months ago. I wear it very rarely. This is not a place to bring your expensive clothes. They do a lousy job to say the least.
Also, there was a lot of lint on the dress.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ms. T.San Diego, United States05854Apr 12, 2017
My slacks came back with more wrinkles than when I dropped them off! The clip in front was mis-pressed with a fold in it...Now it sticks out. The pockets and inner lining were pressed with giant wrinkles so the fabric doesn't look pressed flat, but has lines running through the fabric. The pockets don't sit flat. This was a rushed and poorly done job for $6.75. I am not impressed. I will likely have to take it elsewhere to get the wrinkles pressed out of the garment!
I will not be back. If you care about your things and getting quality for your money, I advise you to go elsewhere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael H.La Jolla, United States111Mar 6, 2016
I have used Ogden's services for my dress shirts and dry cleaning needs since moving to La Jolla from NYC. Recently, they have started randomly charging $4 per shirt for shirts they say are made of "special material." These shirts have been washed and pressed by other cleaners here and in NYC and never been charged an extra fee. When I brought this up, the response was "I'm so sorry. You're making me so sad." There was no attempt to correct the situation.
My recommendation is to review your receipt and take your business else where.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Greg B.Central West End, Saint Louis, United States16930247Jan 24, 2009First to Review
Finally, a cleaner that doesn't take you to the cleaners in La Jolla.
After trying about 5 different places I finally found a dry cleaner that is fast, reasonably priced ($2 for a man's dress shirt). I took about the same amount of clothes to La Jolla Cleaners and here--and the difference was $50-versus-$20.25. Yes, almost a $30 difference. It would add up quick over a year.
Service was friendly and easy. As another reviewer noted, you can literally drive up to the front door, run out, grab your clothes and be back out the door in less than 10 minutes.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Janet G.La Jolla, United States331037Mar 21, 2015
I brought my dress in as it had a stain. Paid $11 to have the stain removed. And it wasn't. Dan, the owner, refused to reimburse me. Not sure why I had to pay for a job that wasn't done - do you? I will never return! (I gave one star - wanted to leave 0 stars but was unable to)

I have been using Ogdens since I moved to the village 8 years ago.
NEVER have I had an issue with their cleaning, attitudes etc.
Each front staff member there is very customer service oriented-very friendly and very helpful.
They have been in La Jolla for years and have a prominent place in our community.
Unfortunately you cannot please everyone-no matter how competent you are.
They are loved by many, as one day I was there and a lady dropped off a plant to Suni to thank them all for their kindness & great service!
How often does that happen, getting a gift from a customer?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Billie M.Poway, United States011Mar 4, 2017
This is the worst customer service I have ever had! Don't go here, not even sure if they clean the garments. My pillow cases still had make up on them and my duvet came back with yellow spots on it. I didn't write a Yelp review at that time, but I just had another incident with the owner and he is so RUDE! No stars!
