I think this was my first time trying really authentic Filipino food and I really enjoyed it. The prices were higher than I expected given that everything is served cafeteria style (premade and scooped out from under the warmer), but the portions were honestly about twice as big as I was expecting, so it evened out to be a good value meal. I got the 2 item combo and a halo halo and couldn't quite finish either, so next time I would just get the 1 item combo and a smaller baked good for dessert.
I got the laing and ginisang munggo in my combo. Both were very good and pleasantly different from anything I've tried before, but the laing was definitely my favourite. I loved the frag coconut milk with taro leaves. The laing was a tad on the oily side for me, but the ginisang munggo was fine on that front. These are considered "vegetable" dishes so the shrimp are more of an accent than the main feature, but they were cooked well and between the two dishes there was more than enough for me to feel like I got a fair serving of protein. Especially for "cafeteria" food, this was excellent.
They have two types of halo halo but I can't remember what the one I got was called - it had mango ice cream, ube paste, flan, and jellies. I thought the shaved ice part of the halo halo was just a little coarse, but otherwise this was great. All the other individual components were delicious - the ice cream in particular had a nice bright flavour and the ube paste was strong.
The staff were pretty nice. I took a table that a group before me had just left and someone came out and wiped it down for me even though it wasn't visibly dirty. The place is pretty small, so not a lot of seating and the space is a little tight. Would be nice to see compostable plates because as is there's a ton of plastic at play. Good place though; I take it as a good sign that there were a lot of Filipino customersHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 11, 2024
Pampanga cuisine was a once a week trip for us when we used to live close by. The food tastes homemade. I especially like to order their big party trays. Too bad we don't live close by anymore :(

The WORST sisig and service. It tasted like a reheated lechon kawali with chili, onion and vinegar. Is this even a good representation?
I respectfully and as quietly as I could mentioned that the sisig was not crispy and asked what can be done. They said nothing coz it is one batch. It was so bad that I asked if they can replace it with something else even if I paid an extra fee. I had 1spoonful to taste and showed the ladies. They said to throw it away. Then wanted to charge me $9 for the replacement. To fix the issue, they escalated it and a rude lady did not help. She had the audacity to tell me that I should complain beforehand? How would I know it is bad if I did not taste it??? She even acknowledged it got reheated and said nobody complained before - loudly for other customers to hear. I had to point to her sign "crispy sisig". She asked the other ladies how much I ate and they said "this much" - I have no idea what this much is. As a customer, I felt they had ganged up against me , felt embarrassed and I had to just eat my other dish calmly while all the while feeling ripped off. TBH, sisig was really like lechon kawali and I have not even brought that up and wanted to "gently complain" on the crispy issue so they can get it but "getting it" is not possible with defensive and indifferent approach.
For reference, a combo is $16.50 with 2 dishes and $10 is a combo with 1 dish so $9 is a rip off plus the dish was barely eaten.
I would have just been Ok if as a token, they gave me a fraction of my money - even a couple dollars or had given me a replacement for even half of a cup of 1 other dish but a plain out NO + NOT OUR FAULT+ FAKE SORRY + RUDENESS is upsetting.
They have banner saying " home of original sisig" so now I have no idea what pampanga sisig should be.
First time customer and will likely never go back again!! I will support the next door Filipino place that is more consistent.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 9, 2023
Looking for some home cooking and Pampanga's Cuisine delivers. It's like if your Lola cooked all your favorites fresh and with extra rice because you needed to eat it all. For real, I thought I had too much rice so transferred a scoop to my husband's plate but had to take it back LOL
It is a small place with only 4 two seater tables inside and a couple tables outside, but not super busy when we went. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making sure our food was piping hot.
We got their specialty - the pork sisig - with its crispy bits, flavorful with hints of calamansi and a bit of hot pepper. Also got the Kare kare with super tender beef, Bulalo with tasty broth, gong fried fish and pinakbet with a ton of veggies. Everything was delicious!
Stop by here for a meal that tastes home cooked but without having to do the dishes!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

They catered an event and their portions were so generous! The large pancit is supposed to be for 20-30 people, but it easily fed 50. Such a great surprise! Everyone liked the food: pancit, bbq chicken, puto, and kutsinta. Sarap talaga!
Tip: Delivery costs an extra $100, so just pick up if you can!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jumel S.San Dimas, United States42418Nov 23, 2023
Since moving away from home, I've been missing my mom's home cooking so I took a chance on this gem. At first, I was apprehensive about the price of each dish, but it was totally worth it! This place immediately took me back home.
I wish there was more vegetables in the Kare Kare, but the meat was perfect! They forgot the side soup of Sinigang I was looking forward to, but all in all, I will be ordering again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 30, 2023
While this Filipino restaurant does succeed in capturing the authentic essence of Filipino cuisine, it unfortunately falters in the realm of affordability. The commitment to genuine flavors is evident in the dishes, showcasing a commendable effort to stay true to traditional roots. However, the drawback arises when considering the pricing, which leans towards the higher end without a proportional reflection in portion sizes or overall value. For those prioritizing an authentic Filipino dining experience and willing to overlook the steep prices, this restaurant may still offer a taste of home, but be prepared for a dent in your wallet.

Was surprised that the 2 item combo has increased to $14 back then it was $10 but it is still definitely worth it to get some good Filipino food here. If you miss Filipino food, make sure to come here and get the sisik. A lot of their food reminds me of home food its very similar with manadonese food. Cheers! Very recommended!

Their sisig is PHENOMENAL. Probably one of, if not, the BEST sisig you can find in Vancouver area.
The ambiance is very reminiscent to those karinderyas back home.
Service is also commendable. Servers picked up the orders quickly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Great place for great Filipino food. Amazing for lunch.
I come here probably once or twice a week, always going for their combo 2 and the free soup.
All their dishes are very good. Yummy for sure.
Wish I had photos of the food but I keep eating it too fast.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
