Roman's Plumbing

I haven't written a review on Yelp in a very long time, in part because I have come to doubt the quality of reviews on Yelp.

But, today I have to call out the excellent customer service we received from Roman's Plumbing, who I called because of their high Diamond Certification rating.

Our problem: upstairs bathroom leaking through the downstairs kitchen ceiling. Yuk.
Jason worked with thorough focus to diagnose two issues that were causing the problem. Faulty bathtub drain pipe and worn out tile grout.

Replacing the drain pipe required two plumbers, but, because my husband and I work during the week, Jason rearranged his schedule so he could return later in the afternoon with another plumber to replace the drain pipe. This was simply to save us from taking another day off work. Since he gave us the time, we decided to have more non-emergency work done. It was worth it to us to have a number of things completed at once as time is very valuable to us which Jason surmised without our pressing the issue. Jason also gave us a referrals for the tile work and drywall we need to have done as a result of the leak.

Jason and his apprentice Jay were extremely respectful of our home and cleaned up afterwards. They were both also very pleasant and easy to communicate with. Maybe the parts were a bit pricey, but it was well worth it for the knowledge, professionalism and amazing customer service. I will call them for all our plumbing needs going forward.

Roman's Plumbing is one of the very best businesses I have ever dealt with in their communication with their customers. Roman is so knowledgeable, professional and genuinely friendly. I feel very confident in his ability to efficiently take care of our Plumbing needs. Our family has used Roman's Plumbing for years. We highly recommend Roman's Plumbing!

We had a second job done by Roman yesterday. It is so refreshing to employ a family business that puts value and sincerity first, rather than marketing, marketing, marketing first. We've had it with the big plumbing companies that continually try to sell us on expensive work that in most cases does not even need to be done and must do so in order to pay for all of the advertising that they do. Roman's Plumbing has the opposite mentality; do the work well, do it fast, and most importantly, do it with honesty. They are a throwback to the old days when pride in work was the paramount reason for work.

How do you express gratitude when doing so expresses barely enough ...?

How do you describe a life suddenly so utterly stupendously improved ...?

And how in the world do you let the entire world know of kindness so unexpected, so generous, so compassionate, even a full symphonic orchestra with 100 person choir raising voice in rapturous praise wouldn't begin to do the job ...?

One day you're fit and healthy and the next day you learn you're not - in fact, you learn you're very ill.

Only the day before you had lots of plans, like, say, that long wanted bathroom improvement.
You'd done research and knew it'd be an expensive undertaking but you had a plumbing contractor who'd done work in your home in the past and you felt confident you'd get a fair price and a first-rate professional job.

But, oops, the electrical contractor higher than expected estimate and the building permit costs put the project out of budget. Like I said, an expensive undertaking ...

Then your go-to plumbing guy voluntarily re-estimated using a modest product downgrade and voila!, the project was again GO!

Then came that daunting pathology report, attendant treatment costs, time away from work, all of which mandated STOP!

So you called off the plumbing contractor, the electrical contractor, withdrew the building permits, and figured that was that ...

Then one morning your phone rings: "Hi, it's Roman. How're you feeling? My wife and I've discussed it and we're going ahead with your project and there's no charge. Expect the electrical contractor first thing Friday morning then we'll follow right after with the plumbing installation. We're taking care of it all. Okay?"

Whoa, I replied, I need to think about this ...

"There's nothing to think about - it's a done deal. See you Friday."

Three weeks ago my long wanted bathroom improvement project was done - expertly done. It's wonderful. It's perfect.

Roman's Plumbing has been our go-to ever since we moved to Petaluma five years ago. From basic repairs, to installing a new gas line, to replacing sinks, toilets, faucets, and replacing a tankless water heater (it's an old house!), Roman has always been reliable, efficient and clean. We trust his work has been done the correct way and is up to code. Plus, he's just a great guy to know! Highly recommend.

I used Roman's Plumbing several times over the years. Roman & Jason Jr. are excellent in getting the job done correctly. After each job, Eleni sent me a Thank You card with an appreciation message. I like that very much! Monica is great on the phone & always try to schedule an appointment that works for me & the plumber. I highly recommend this plumbing company to anyone who needs plumbing services.

Once again.... awesome experience from beginning to end. The quality of service, professionalism, knowledge, flexibility, kindness and quality of work.... I wish they did more than plumbing. I feel so fortunate to count on them for all my plumbing needs. So, from me to them, Thank you!

Writing another 5 star review of Roman's Plumbing feels like an unnecessary exercise given all the fantastic other reviews, but they once again earned it. This time, for a job they ended up not doing, graciously responding to an emergency on our end and scoping the problem in an atmospheric river in an already packed week. As usual, they only capable of top quality work and planning, and I appreciate them so much. Again, it's a drop in the bucket of feedback for this wonderful family and company, but good work deserves good feedback, even if it is repetitive. Thank you Roman, Eleni, everyone.
