Young's Cleaners

My wife requested I take her wedding dresses to the best cleaners in Oakland and despite this location being 15 minutes away on 580 I would say it was well worth the trip.

They have a very efficient system for drop off and pick up (text message when clothes are ready) and turn around time is certainly reasonable.

I dropped off 1 long wedding dress, 1 formal long reception dress, one short wedding dress, and a veil. These were absolutely dirty along the trains of the dresses and the veil from the various nights of dancing throughout our wedding weekend. We got them back nearly flawless, the only thing I can honestly say I found were VERY VERY FAINT dirt stains on the bottom most part of the dresses/trains that you honestly won't notice unless your looking at it from the ground at 6inches away. So in short, they did a great job on these. Which given the total price ($175 total) it was worth it. Highly recommended.

Wow, disappointing. This store has such great view reviews that I took a dress there to have stains removed but ended up feeling slightly offended.

When I picked up the dress and showed that the stains were still there, the first thing the woman did was to essentially blame me. She asked me if I tried to treat the stains before, I said yes, I used a little bit of vinegar. She then suggested it was my fault for "setting" the stain with vinegar before dry cleaning. Seriously? I googled it and couldn't find anything of the sort. In fact, many sites, including some dry cleaners, said the opposite -- using vinegar to treat stains. So, I felt like it was just an excuse instead of either an explanation or an apology. I get that some stains don't come out, but I would've preferred either one of those.

She did finally offer to see if they could try again, but it wouldn't have been done in time for the event, which didn't help me. (And all I could think was, if you can do it a second time then why didn't you do it the first time?)

When I was at the store, I was just really disappointed and I didn't think to say something. But the more I think about it, the more annoyed I am.

The staff were otherwise very friendly, quick to help you, and parking was easy, but that doesn't make it worth it for me.

Young's Cleaners is the best! I moved over to the East Bay recently and have been looking for a new go-to dry cleaner. So glad we were able to find David and his establishment!

I recently got married and was looking for a place that could clean all of our garments- tuxedos, suits, reception dress, wedding dress, and more. Their staff is very considerate. A part of my reception dress was coming off, and they called me to let me know immediately and offered to sew it back on as well. For my wedding dress, they do special cleaning and can even box it up for you.

Very affordable prices, fast service, and great quality. Would definitely recommend!

First time coming here got recommended by a lot of people. Brought my sweater here for the first wash and returned it with a oil stain. Never been so upset.

i called the store trying to see if my package was there at the store , per my ups notification, & the lady who answered the phone had a terrible attitude was hella rude the entire phone call . I havent gotten any dry cleaning services done yet , was actually looking forward to it because of things i see on IG , but after the encounter with who ever the girl was i would never bring anything i own here.

This cleaner could be in the middle of Atherton or Beverly Hills - it is that EXCELLENT.

It is a hidden gem in EAST OAKLAND.

The service is impeccable and the quality of work is stellar. It is clear that the business uses the best of dry cleaning products to ensure your items smell fresh and are cleaned well.

Something to note: they clean all types of clothing from wedding gowns to even tennis shoes !

I use them to clean very expensive items for me and their work is on par with any high-end cleaning establishment.

David, who manages the family business - is an amazing young man (I say that being an elder.) He is great with customers - always has a kind word, a great listener, and ensures that anything you leave for cleaning will receive the utmost attention.

In summary, this business has it all: quality work, wonderful staff, and a quick turnaround time.

I realize that for some, his location may be too far to travel.

But if the quality of work means more than the distance one has to travel to get it, then Young's Cleaners is the place for you..

Young's is where its at. From suits to jerseys and shoes, they clean it all with respect and love. Always happy to support a family that cares about my stuff as much as I do. Been referring friends there for months!

Was recommended to Young's by a bridal Facebook group and I'm so happy I listened to the referral.

I had purchased a pre-owned wedding dress with significant stains, as can be seen below, and was hoping to find the right professionals to tackle the job. Young's Cleaners turned out to be the people I was looking for. My dress looks brand new with not a single lipstick,food or dirt stain in sight. I wish I had taken more pics of the stains to show the before and after however below you can see some of the problem areas.

I highly recommend them and look forward to bringing other items to them in the future.
